I was just browsing through old, old, (very old) topics when I just felt like asking this question.
Not about why you're doing magic, but why did you start?

Note that I'm not asking why, as in "I do magic to entertain people!".
It's more of, what inspired you to start?

"My friend showed me 2 card monte, and I got interested."
or "I saw David Blaine on TV!!" and so on.
Just a little curious. :g:

As for me, hmmm, I started because of 2 things, really.
A friend of mine showed me a spoon bending routine, and I got extremely interested. Then when I visited the place, another magician showed me the "Bicycle Built for 5", and...

Well, you know. :lol:

I got started when I bought a pack of svengali deck. I never expected that to be the most money draining experience in my life. Addicted to magic. Look at me now. The amount of money I've spend. *tsk tsk tsk*. Haha! :huh:

yeah...David Blaine got me started and I'm hooked :P :lol:

David Copperfield got me interested.
David Blaine renewed my interest.
But it's a local shop that got me really started. I realized I can actually learn those tricks on TV. I can be like Blaine!!

Hmm... Got fooled by a few passes, few DL and ta da! im here!
