jeromefang - October 29, 2006 03:06 PM (GMT)
Hi Everyone.
I was browsing through youtube and realised that Cyril has some new clips up. Its taken from his appearance in a Korean variety show. Although the effects he performed all we've seen before, its nice to see how our Mr Cyril  fry the brains of the koreans. I enjoyed watching it, the koreans' reactions are really funny and entertaining. "Oh Mr Cyril... don't go..." Haha...

Youtube has removed about 30,000 videos from their website, due to some copyright violations. You can find less of his magic videos on youtube now.
I wonder if we can find DVD version of his performances.
Details about the removal of videos

It seems to be no one has ever gotten tired of Cyril.
- harapan. magic!
joeltay81 - November 1, 2006 01:09 AM (GMT)
Honestly, if you compare Cyril to Blaine or Angel, I think Cyril is so much better.
Look at how he transforms a simple effect using ambitious, invisible deck, IT, etc, and make a whole new effect out of it. His presentation is excellent.

His DVD are on sale on his website.
http://www.cyrilmagic.com/index.htmlBut unless they have sub title, it would be useless. there are interview parts at the end of the show that i don't understand.
anyway, nice shows!

Kazekage - November 13, 2006 02:50 PM (GMT)

Im not sure if any of you realize it but most of Cyril's videos on YouTube has been removed T_T
I used to get lots of results when I search for him in the YouTube search but now... T_T

Nope! I did not find it :P
His performance inspired me to come up with a method to make a signed card appear inside a sealed card box. The spectator can be the one opening the card box.

i think i know how he did the first ring thru finger trick

If you are interested in that ring magic you can learn it in The Ring Thing by Garrett Thomas DVD
The ring thing is one of those magic that is easy to figure out, but not easy to perform. The angles, the timing and your presentation have to be perfect to make it look good. I recommend you to buy the DVD. Garrett
Thomas covered all the important points to make this simple trick look like a miracle.

I checked it out and indeed its in Theater Close-up Vol. 2 by Greg Gleason
Here's the description of the effect
SIGNED CARD TO SEALED DECK - A card is selected and signed by several people from a blue backed deck and lost in the deck. The deck is spread revealing the selected card face up, however, there are no signatures. The card is turned over to reveal it has a red back. The magician immediately removes a sealed red deck, shows ALL sides, removes the cellophane, breaks the seal, and removes the deck. The signed blue card is found to have replaced the red mate in its exact position!!! This routine is worth the price of both DVDs!
Sounds cool! :!!: I'm just wondering if the magician HAD to be the one who removes the deck. If the spectator can be the one opening the card box and removing the deck, this DVD is going to be in my christmas purchase list. ;)

It's the Hummer Card
[Vincent] - December 3, 2006 08:48 AM (GMT)
Just a note on the hummer card, does it require a lot of skill to practise? Cause i have the REAL floating card DVD, and it found it quite difficult to master it.
Ace - December 3, 2006 09:25 AM (GMT)
Hummer card is much easier than the Real Floating Card. I end up doing the Hover card as a substitute to the Real Floating Card.
Making the card spinning between your hand don't really require much skill at all.
You need some practice to make the card spin around your body.
hihs - December 3, 2006 09:55 AM (GMT)
card spinning between ur hands require quite an amount of practise. If u lack practise, it is easy to expose the secret.
