Haha. Anybody here does magic with toothpick?
Sometimes i would do some simple 'party' tricks, theres one toothpick vanishing-production trick which criss angel revealed on his halloween special. Quite good simple yet visual. Power Lunch is also a nice trick.
And the.... jumping match trick can also be done with toothpicks :P
Doing magic with everyday objects is cool. Like rubberbands.

I can't remember the name of the trick, but it's where you have the 2 toothpicks contact each other lightly, and one of them jumps and flies away...as if there's some magnetic power shocking it.

If I'm not wrong, Mark Wilson's Encyclopedia has some pretty good tooth pick tricks. Its worth the check.

Just thinking about I, I would guess this is a relatively unexplored field of magic. Excuse the explicit grammar, i'm too accustomed to it by far.

=What kind of effects would you consider( would like to be able to do ) with a toothpick? I won't mention anything. Just pour out your ideas and maybe we could find ways of making that effect happen (or at least seem to happen, why else be called a illusionist)

If you have a special something, you can perform a Broken-And-Restored-Toothpick. Or you can do it without either. Just an idea.

Toothpick tricks are often nice because its impromtu and there is really many things you can do with it..
One of the effects i do with toothpicks is where you poke the toothpick through your arm using ****** ****** (shall not disclose how it's done) and the reaction is great as you can do it over and over again and the person can actually feel your arm when the toothpick is in your arm.

Toothpicks can really be a good opener~ Here's one case..
After dinner at a dinner table with some ladies or your gf.. Proceed to grab a toothpick and use it for what's it's suppose to be used for, cleaning your teeth..
After cleaning it, pretend something's stuck real bad and after much effort of digging.. (Doesn't sound nice but it's ok, you know what i mean) Flick the toothpick out of your teeth and on it is a huge red spongeball!!!
Of course, ask ya spectator to open their hands and offer to show them a spongeball trick~! Look out for "Amazing" reactions! =D
Just a wacky idea ~

there's one effect called "Flesh" I think.
I always do it at Chinese Restaurants.
Think I read it in Paul harri's Art of Astonishment.
Other effects could be as mentioned torn and restored effects.
Try to work on cigarette routines?
they work well with toothpicks too.

There is one paddle trick with a toothpick. Another impromptu version of it is instead of the paddle, a cigarette (pardon the spelling) is used.
