In October 2006 Jay Sankey, president and founder of the Toronto-based company SANKEY MAGIC just signed an exclusive deal to develop an original collection of magic effects for the hit A&E series MINDFREAK starring Criss Angel.

In September 2006, Criss Angel and David Baram (president of the LA-based entertainment agency The Firm) contacted Sankey and asked him to "get on the next plane to Vegas." Two days later, Sankey sat-in on a brainstorming session with Angel's creative team in one of the lavish penthouse suites of Las Vegas’ Luxor hotel.

Soon afterwards, Sankey was officially offered the job of developing a minimum of 40 original magic concepts for the upcoming third season of MINDFREAK on A&E.



I think it's a very interesting mix , Sankey is a funny comedic dude while Criss is always known for his moody dark style of magic

will be very keen to see what kind of effects they come up with and i also think that criss will move more towards closeup stuff

Wow! You're right. 2 different styles of two magicians combining.. I think it's very interesting.. Man, coming up with 40 original magic concepts sounds tough. Magicians are really ingenious.

40 original magic ideas are difficult. I hope its not half baked ideas just to come up with those numbers.

i'm sure it won't be half baked ideas because we're talking about a huge television series here

i'm sure sankey already has a backlog of ideas that he just hasn't developed due to commerciability and practicality of producing them and with the kind of budgets that Criss Angel has he will be able to see them fulfilled

Maybe one day CA will be called Criss Sankey, sounds weird but Ill look for for Mindfreak season 3. :D
