Does anyone here know a trick to disappear and appear in another location? I've seen many magicians do it, but i haven't seen any DVD around.

read up a bit and you'll come across how to do it.

its a standard trick for stage magicians.

Find Nikolai Tesla and give him lots of money to build a electrostatic machinathingamajig for you...

just a very curious question... do we need help from magic shops to really pick up this hobby... can this be done alone? like watching shows and DVDs. and learn it from scratch??? anyone help?

If you are interested, there are ways to learn. For example, visit the library, attend a course or come up with something original, etc. I never visited a single magic shop for the first year I was into magic. And I still don't see much of a need to do so.
