I am going to start the habit of announcing moderator retirements and appointments instead of quietly implementing it like last time.

There are 2 Moderator retirement recently.

Makanmonkey has served as a mod since early 2005 and is one of the longest serving mods with Marketplace as his key area. But of late, he hasn't been able to participate in SMC much because of his busy schedule and retired as a mod.

[Ling] was an events mod who was focused on flourishing gatherings and meetings. But she has to retire because she will be doing her A-Levels and will not be able to organise gatherings.

Thank you guys very much for your services. It is very much appreciated. Your contributions makes SMC possible. :)

Markiebeth was a Gathering Mod since April last year. He has organised a few gathering, the biggest of which was the one in Bugis with the booked room which had over 40 attendees.
He is now too occupied with work commitments to continue his mod duties and is retiring.
