POSTAL! by Larry Becker and Lee Earle

You begin with a sackful of high quality, 4 x 6-inch picture postcards - except for their identical dimensions, each and every one of them is unique; no duplicates.

When the bag is emptied into a participant's hands, he is asked to look them over and then to mix them - getting nearby people to help if he chooses - to guarantee a thorough shuffle.

Then, to ensure a random, blind selection, the cards are returned to the ungimmicked brown paper bag. As you avert your gaze, your helper is directed to reach inside and grab a few, "More than a couple, perhaps as many as a dozen. Bring them out together as one packet and conceal them in your pocket for the time being." A second participant is requested to take one more postcard from the sack next, keeping it out of sight as well.

"Oddly, the number 8 pops into my mind," mentions the performer. Turning to the first helper he instructs, "Reach into your pocket and bring out single postcards at random, showing each to the audience, until only one remains concealed." He shows a total of 7 different postcards - the 8th remains hidden in his pocket.

You instantly can describe the picture on his postcard, do a 'remote viewing' of the scene, or sense the subject matter perfectly. And with no hesitation whatsoever, you immediately do the same with the second helper. If you wish to present POSTAL! as a prediction, you have the option to exercise 100% control of the final postcard - not the same each time - with no suspicious counting, moves, or other absurdities.

POSTAL! is an easy, one-man routine. Lee Earle's extensive graphics and computer skills have produced a series of postcard images that have the sneakiness Photoshopped into the subject matter and layout! There are no angle problems and you can leave everything out for inspection if you wish (i.e. - no flaps, no compartments, no duplicates, no sleights, no cribs, no questions asked, no fishing, etc.). In addition to the 16 custom cards, your set of high-quality professionally printed, scenic color postcards will include 20 assorted 'indifferent' postcards to get you started. We'll even toss in the ungimmicked sack! Included is a 'secret something' that makes this a baffling yet easy routine! Another hit from Mentalism Unlimited! Postal is another superb product from Larry Becker and Lee Earle (my 2 favorite guys in mentalism). Much like their recent collaborations such as Double Vision, this is a custom created Mentalism effect with props for the serious Mentalism or Mental Magic performer :lol:

You are supplied with everything needed, including the custom designed printed postcards (a VERY clever thing I must say), a sturdy paper sack and their full routine and well written instructions. All the props are commonplace and the postcards themselves are really very well made. Printed on heavy card stock with a glossy finish, they look very much like ordinary postcards and will pass ANY performance examination. Furthermore, due to the structure of the routine, there is no way the audience can find anything wrong with the postcards because they can examine and mix-up the cards prior to the actual performance of the routine.

As with many of their past releases, there are multiple effects in-built into the single prop and the design and thought are pure genius!!! You can choose to perform all the phases in the full routine or choose those that appeal to you. With this set of postcards, you can perform divination effects, mind-reading, drawing duplication, remote viewing and predictions. It is that versatile! ;)

I'd really recommend this for parlour or platform performers looking for a unique mental routine to perform. What else can I say, this is perhaps one of the best mentalism effects of 2006... POSTAL! by Larry Becker and Lee Earle really rocks!!!
