Hey guys. as I was too bored at work, (Ya, currently I undergoing some IA in a company) I start to wonder what does the rest of you do, IF, you are totally free, nothing to do, but don't want to waste your time. What kind of magic or sleight trainings will you do?

Its easy to say, pick up a deck and do your SYBIL!!! the conditions I set in is, you can jump off immediately to work anytime without the trouble of keeping stuffs. If you boss walked past, the chances he think you are slacking or no work to do is near to zero. And of course, you can stop doing what you did and he wont suspect anything from you.

As for me, All this while, I been playing with my rings, but sad to say, I not into ring work yet, so I can onli do Gyphron rolls on both hands. But sadly, other than that, I got nothing else to do.

Dun restrict yourself to maybe small stuffs, other things like writing down routines, scripts or maybe playing around with leviations in the office can be consider. So just write down what will you do and in what situation you will do it.

You could still practice sleight of hands with cards,
the only thing is instead of normal card you could use blank face blank back,
so it just look like normal paper instead of playing cards .... :-)

Well, thats what I used to do at school and boring lectures. Also experimented a few effects with these type of blank cards. Kinda fun.

Currently, if lectures get unbearably boring I will take out 4 blank cards which I always carry in my wallet and practice false counts.

You could do "re-cap" from "off the cuff", paddle move if your pen have words on it (looks like you're ready to write something).

Try "Finger Fantasy" (looks like you're just cracking your fingers).

Paperball over head (throw rubbish?)

Arm twisting illusion (stretching?)

Statue act (deep in thoughts?)

I've been working lately as well, and been playing ALOT ALOT with my rings. What is "Gyphron rolls"? I managed to master the ring roll that's in De'Ring within 2 days, the one that rolls front and back, at the fingertip. No idea wat's the name of that though.. :P Work is really damn boring lor, really is can master anything while working. Hahaha.

I dont dare to use cards though, so I play alot with my coins and rings actually. But rings.. I dunno what else more I can do with them. I dont want to practise stuffs like Garrett Thomas Ring Thing, where ppl will think "Eh this guy siao arh, why anyhow point middle finger.." Hahaha!

Yea, I also play with my set of chinese coins with a [.. Just think of weird weird routines? And yes, once in like every 3 days, I'll come out with a new move with my coins or a new routine.. Haha. But the sad thing is that when I show to me magicians friends, all say cannot make it. Lol. Hard to make a routine that is good actually.. :lol:

If you can use cards at your work, there's like SOOOO many things you can do.. Wah.. If only I can practise my steals, gambling sleights, false shuffles, or even chim-er like table faros etc.. Hahaha. Too bad I cant use cards at work. :(

I actually was so bored that I took my brochures and fold cranes.. Hahaha!

LOL!! Good ideas man, I forget how to fold frogs by the way. Anyway, sometime I visual the moves but I think if anyone see what I doing, they might think I mad!!

But seriously, playing around with things can get your mind going, apparently I dun have any much things on my deck except big devices. (Dun ask me to vanish one of them, it cost few thousands, LOL)
