We have so many cool pubs and clubs here in Sunny Singapore that I’m surprised we don’t have regular bar magicians. Maybe, these videos will inspire someone to take up the challenge… I hope :lol:

Like the Doc Eason Bar Magic Videos, this DVD series showcases a real professional magic bartender at work. You will see Scotty performing with his bits of businesses, jokes and the way he interacts with the audience. This DVD is a release of the A1-Multimedia videos produced in the late 1980s. While the pacing of the performance may seem a tad slow for today’s audience, it is the methods & presentations that you can use to adapt to today’s performance needs.

The greatest thing about these videos is the wealth of material you get. Each video is about 2hours each and contains live performance plus explanations. In addition, Scotty also gives professional advice and tips on performing magic in a bar. He also goes through a variety of sleights that he uses at the bar (He explains these same sleights on each video, in the event the buyer only buys one or two of the video set.) This in itself is a great value! ;)

Some highlights from this video include:

Froggy Goes A’ Countin – This is a commercial card routine that has a cute plot where a origami frog folded from a playing card finds a selected card under a hanky.

Marked Coin in Sugar Packet is one of the most direct and practical versions of a signed coin in sugar packet. Simple move but the method allows for a convincing effect.

Skill Saw Test is a brilliant entertaining version of the jumbo split deck where two half cards of a deck of cards that is cut in two. It is entertaining and highly commercial. Excellent for parlour or even stage.

Scotty’s Rising Cards routine is a very impossible looking rising card effect where 3 selected cards rise up while in a glass, under a large glass dome. This is not impromptu but will be amazing for a formal parlour performance. Everything can be examined immediately after the routine!

So really... If you are thinking of performing at bars or just looking for plain solid close-up/ parlour material – get these DVDs. Highly recommended for value for money!
