Effect

The knife has six different colored spots on both sides. The spectator names a number between one and six. The number is used to find a color on the knife. The spots on the knife magically change color to become totally the selected color! All the other colors have disappeared!

Hot Knife by Rodger Lovins

If you love the classic Hot Rod routine and are looking for a logical prop that does not look like a strange magic prop, you might like to have a look at the Hot Knife. The knife itself is a beautiful item with great weight. It is a classy prop that is a functional knife as well B)

The dots are painted so I suppose if you want to mod them to make it look cooler it is possible, sticker bindees could be used to replace it after you use thinner to remove the original paint. Highly recommended if you are willingly to spend a teeny effort make this prop great! A cool prop to take along with you every day ;)
