Hi Welcome to the forum.
Kindly read this
Post if you are interested to pick up the Art of Magic.
Magic comes with practice and practice and nothing but practice. So it will consume alot of of your time and you must have the passion to do so. Read up the post which i gave you just now and only if you have decide to dedicate your time to Magic or not.

Welcome to the forum JirQUEST....glad that you have taken enough interest to join us here.
For beginners, it is most sensible to get a magic book and read up rather than buying individual tricks because books will give you a better coverage of the basics which will give you the foundation to do other tricks. Alternatively, you can ask in the Products sections what is a good DVD for a beginner to start with. Videos are easier to learn from than book often.
We have a policy of non exposure on the site so nobody will teach you tricks directly, but we are here to point you in the right direction.
Have fun in the forum.
Cheers

Well, a good book to start with for a beginner is something that covers different type of magic genre, rather than something focused on cards for example.
I've heard that Magic for Dummies is actually a good read. I dun really know what other books is good for beginners, maybe u can ask in the Products Review area.
For DVDs, there was a discussion about what dvds are good for beginners. You can read it
here.Cheers

Glad to see that you made the decision to jump in after reading the post.
Welcome to the club, and when you start on your first instructional material, please do ask for help if you have handling, performance or technical difficultites. Due to the fact that we're dead-set against public exposure, please use magic lingo should you need to enquire about anything that requires descriptive explanations.
Best of luck! :)
