I'm not so sure about starting with ET.
I was quite undecided about ET till I talked to Shade one day about it. He felt that ET is not his kind of thing because it is generally not a very pleasent feeling to be shocked. Nobody really enjoys the little electric shocks. He wouldn't want to make his spectators uncomfortable.
I'm still pretty neutral abt ET, but that makes a lot of sense to me. Yes, it does get a lot of reaction but I'm not sure that's necessarily a good thing. I bet I can get a reaction out of someone if I prick them with a needle too.

If they are your friends, yeah, they will probably take it with a pinch of salt and be curious how you are doing it. Maybe, deep into a routine, when a spec is absolutely absorbed and entertained with adrenaline pumping, yeah, it can enhance a certain message you want to convey.

But starting out and going straight into it, as in like going up to someone and shock them immediately. I think that would be a pretty bad 1st impression. B)

Thank your for your advice=D. I will try to perform ET after a routine to give
them a feel that say"i want to watch on and see this guy got."

  :D
Haa.....erm......I don't think that is what is going to be communicated.

Unless you believe they are going to think:
"Wow! He just shocked me! It's actually a little painful. Hmmm....if I hang around, maybe I can get him to shock me again!"

You, my young friend, REALLY shouldn't have bought ET so soon.
Don't mind me saying this, but it seems to me that you are really REALLY new to magic am I right?

That $300 you spent on it could have been put to so much better use with some good DVDs and books on the basics.
If it was your friend who recommended you to buy ET (when you are just starting out), you should go stare at him and shock him with ET turned on to full power like 50 times tomorrow. -_-

Jokes aside, ET is best used to enhanced effects. You should search for some of the older posts about the PROPER way to utilise ET, if you should even use it at all.

But for now, I think you should resign to the fact you bought a very expensive prank and just start from basics.
May I recommend Royal Road to Card Magic. And you should buy a copy for your friend who suggested to you that you should start performing by shocking them with ET first too.

I really dunno whether I should feel sorry for you or not.

Anyway, this thread is way off topic and is not going anywhere. I'm closing it.
