Between ITR Boss and Micro, which is better? People who used it have u encountered any problems? Maintenance?
Spiderpen is motorised but its a pen. Heard that it is very good but is it easy to operate?

I am using the Mini ITR boss (highly infrequent though because of the hassle of IT effects). It works perfectly well for me, the only issue I have with it is that it uses a clip instead of a pin (which may be more desirable if you are dressed more casually and have not much clothing for the ITR to clip onto).
The difference between the various ITRs are, besides the obvious size difference (which affects its hideability), is just that the smaller the ITR, the shorter the extension will be (as the tension will be higher). But for all my closeup work, the Mini ITR boss (Which i believe is the smallest size possible) has been adequate, having a possible extension of significantly farther than my arm's length. It has been several years and still works as well as when I first unpackaged it.
One more thing, don't scrimp on getting an ITR. IT work is relatively riskier (if I may be conservative about this), and you'd do well to have quality for this.
Hope this has been useful.
If you'd like to know the exact one I'm using:

Extension 5-6 Feet

Oh, i wonder if ITR boss can be modified to pin type?
If Boss can extend 5-6 feet, then how long can micro go?
Thanks for the info Gordon

Well, I guess if I really wanted to modify it, I could...
Micro would extend further, but to find out the exact extension you will need to do a search for that.

To modify it, will the body of the ITR be spoilt? I dont have it in front of me so its quite hard to imagine :P

Well, just clip it to a pin.

Any comments about the spiderpen? I have tons of postive reviews about it however I wonder if it is easy to operate and angle proof. Its hard to find any performance video. I am thinking of getting it. Please let me know.

Regarding ITRs, does it reel back automatically or is that a way to lock the length in place??
