Just wondering.. is the dollar as big as the half-dollar or bigger? I had a dollar coin which is smaller than a half.

From the look of that picture, it doesn't seem to be the dollar size that magicians use. It is the Eisenhower dollar that you are probably looking for.

Yeah it does look smaller... and well, if anyone wants to get these new batch, you can easily grab them off eBay :) I have a few pieces of Morgan dollars, which are pretty hard to find these days.
I'm not listing it on my website because there's very few pieces so if anyone is interested, just feel free to PM me. These coins are a lot bigger than half dollars & are in very good condition. Morgan dollars don't come cheap tho... you can read more about them on the internet ;)
Cheers,
ning

FYI, this is the other side of the Morgan Dollar. Much prettier than the common Eisenhower Dollar regularly used at Casinos and stuff in the States.
ning ;)
ps: Larry, I think you should seriously double check the size of the new presidential dollars before you buy them, just in case they're smaller than half dollars, like Axl's case  Cheers!

Ya, the Morgan coins sure is pretty. Well, I might get a frenz there to get it for me and send it over.
Anyway, its still money, wont be disappointed as if its an effect by its own. Not happy? Just spend it.

Er... they are not easy to get and you definitely can't buy them for just US$1 Larry :P Just do an online search, you'll know what I mean *grin*

I know I know.. Haha!! Of course I wont use these coins for routine. It breaks my heart if the audience drop them.. "-.-

Technically magicians like using morgan dollars because they are bigger, so its more visual than regular half dollars. Just use the soft coins, not the ultra expensive ones of course :P

when i was in the states during christmas i chanced upon the liberty dollar coin when i was buying the train ticket from the machine, so i decided to keep them.
Well mine are smaller then the half dollar then i have.
If you have seen the american quarter, and even the half dollars that we own, you would notice that it is very nice to hold out as there is barely any border at the edge. The dollar coin is different. It is similar to the singapore coins where the edge has a border. so the dollar coin, although smaller then the halves, it is slightly heavier. Err..in my opinion, i think it is impossible to hold out more than one dollar coins.

It depends on the type of dollar coins you have :) I've seen some local coin works use morgan dollars and despite the size, they're able to hold out more than one  It's a matter of practice I suppose.
But yeah, lucky you... Liberty coins are rare these days, so you should keep them!
