I seen alot of newspaper tear effect, but the one that I like most is the paper tear that was done during J.C Sum's show, where one corner is taken off and then the corner is restored.

May I know what is that effect?

its not a card effect. Hmm, the paer is folded into quarters, then the folded tip corner is folded and tear off. Magician then left the torn corner into the paper. Then, they light the torn edge, it have fire from one end to another. (I think flash effect) Then the magican open, the paper is intact. Ya.

I believe it is called a Diamond Newspaper Tear, but I'm not sure if it's marketed.
