Title: The Lost Tomb Of Jesus
Description: what do you think??
M.A.D. - March 5, 2007 07:13 AM (GMT)
Jesus die and........as there are 3 saying;
a) Jesus friends kept His body;(but if it is the turth where their faith from?)
B) The soldier kept His body; and(but if it is the turth why they do bring out during that time?)
c) Jesus is Alive and is __________. (but now they said they found Him)
But the fact remains:
1. 900 tombs are found within a 2 mile radius. 71 bear the name of Jesus, 2 of them mention Jesus son of Joseph. Jesus was a very common name at the time.
2. 48% of women living then were named Mary, Marian or Shlomzion (Hebrew).
3. Jesus Christ’s parents were poor. This is a middle class tomb. If they had money, they would likely have a tomb at Nazareth, not here.
4. Archaeologist Kloner: Because a tomb is labeled a tomb of a Jesus does not necessarily make it a tomb of Jesus, let alone a tomb of Christ or of Jesus’ family. It has nothing whatsoever to do with Jesus.
5. Archaeologist Amos Klomen oversaw the excavation work at the tomb: These names are the most common names of the time. In fact, whether Jesus is the name here is hard to read because it is blurred ancient Semitic script. He thinks the name is Hanun, not Jesus. We have known about these for years (since 1980), but were ignored because they were not considered important. “This is a great story for TV filming. Ideals fail to hold up to archaeological standards but makes for profitable television. They just want to get money out of it.”
6. Biblical anthropologist Joe Zias: What they’ve done here is they’ve simply tried in a very, very dishonest way to try to con the public into believing that this is the tomb of Jesus or Jesus’ family. It has nothing whatsoever to do with Jesus (Christ.).
7. Dan Brown, DaVinci Code says: Jesus had a daughter. Now, the claim is: Jesus had a son.
What about your point of view??? B)

There are already plenty of books out there which debunk the theories in Da Vinci Code.
Anyway, DVC is just a FICTIONAL novel which blended a lot of half-truths and imagination from the author. I really can't understand that why anybody would take it that seriously.
Guess some people just like to believe in some conspiracies.

i still believe there is nothing in the tomb of Jesus. He rose up to be on the right side of the Lord .

No one can for sure say anything conclusive.. even if he rose from the dead, who knows for sure? :P
There are many arguments of the creation of religion, and its purpose is largely controversial. I dont think we should step anywhere near religious stuff, it is volatile. -_-

quite right... though I am a Christian myself, I think maybe we shoud leave this kind of subject to a better place and better time.

People just want to debunk this religion because of the amount of followers it has and they are jealous about it.
They think its brainwash.
They think its idiots following a blind faith.
They think it's a global conspiracy.
They just want to make it less appealing so that there will be less converts by inserting "controversy" after "controversy".
Why can't they just embrace the simple message its trying to get across?
Think.

Maybe this is not a good place to discuss stuff like this. We have our own belief and its not good to talk bad about other religion ^_^ agree?

Hmm, it depends on how one people thinks ba, everyone was curious on the history. but who really knows? Its a discussion that goes on and on and no answer to it.
Several movies made stories out of them and did we see people going with boards to protest that it was not right? None that i heard of. Mainly because nowadays, people regards Jesus, their god, as a "spiritual" friend that is there for them to listen to them. Not as someone that can find out 4D for them, change their boss the next day when their boss screwed them today. I respect christian alot because of the way they portract their belief towards god and the new thinkings of what god is. Same for other beliefs, there are legends in the past, and in the past, you will see people pray for 4D or Toto, but nowadays, people pray for good luck, just for the sake that it makes them less worried over stuffs. Its somehow a mentality strength given by believing that somone is with you, holding your hand.
I myself is a free thinker, But I do believe that these legends can be true, I keen to know what is real and what is not. But at the end story, does it matters now? What matters is the effect they will do for people, is it good, or bad? If its good, why should we dig out the past, just for the sake of proving that its not real? Thats the problem with humans, that we seek endless knowledge and desire for more, we never comfortable with what we have now.
So let say, we make this a friendly discussion and don't get overboard with cristising other people's belief.
My 3cent thoughts
