Anyway, I haven seen more of balloon effects that is suitable for oldies. I cannot imagine you want to swallow the whole balloon infront of them.
I think the best idea will be sneaky, corny balloon magic appearance. :)

M.A.D. , just do what ever you want to do for them. They will appreciate what you made. Roses, flowers will still work well with the aunties. Maybe a basket of tulips or some fruits are some ideas you may want to consider. For the uncles I think some funny hats can do the tricks. Hope it helps. :P
