Description: any reviews?

Hello there, would like to ask if anyone had purchased the
Luke Jermay's 10 Card Poker Deal? It looked quite cool. But I notice something. The deck cant be shuffled before the trick. So I was seriously wondering if its heckler proof. Please post your reviews if you purchased it. Thanks!

This is a standard 10 card poker deal demonstration. You laid out 10 cards fairly on the table, the spec chooses his own hand, with no force or whatever magician's choice crap.
Everything is done very fairly, it has a very old and clever principle behind it and there is some preparation needed. But you can work round it and be done with a borrowed deck.
Heckler proof..hmm I'm not too sure, but its not recommended to show them the cards after the deal, not that the cards are gaff or what, but I doubt the laymen are smart enough to discover the principle just by looking at the cards...
Here is the same Luke's effect on Mindfreak >>

That's a nice performance on the video clip.
Especially the collection of the bet at the end. :ph43r:

This can definitely go into a gambling routine closer.
Start with 2CM,3CM,Invisi pass routine and end with this.
What other gambling effects are there?

Just gotten my 10 Card Poker Deal. Its really cool. I expected what was coming. It is a very clever idea. Luke will teach you everything you will need in order to win in all circumstances. Which means, you won't really have any chance of losing the game. So I recommend buying it if you don't have it. Good Luck!

Got it today and performed it to my housemate immediately after running through the steps once through in my room.
He was stunned. Very simple and very nice effect.

One question for those who play poker or texas hold'em,
which is a bigger hand
3 of a kind or 2 pairs?

3 of a kind > 2 pairs.
For this effect, I find that if you add a bit of suspicion in your spectators by doing some fancy cuts and shuffles that will make them think like you are doing something to the deck, it hits them harder. Because the effect itself is so fair and they are practically playing against themselves by making choices for you.
Just my 3 cents.

Any recommendation? You mean Fa*** Cut? Fa*** Shuffle?
Sehnsucht - March 9, 2007 01:14 PM (GMT)
Yeah of course you can do that. In fact Luke teaches one of them(or more i'm not sure) in the video.
Sometimes even if I'm not performing, when I'm playing poker with my friends, they always ask me to be dealer. They know that I will not cheat and they also like seeing my dealing techniques and so on.
Anyone want to be a casino dealer in future?

Any ideas which DVD i should get which emphasize on those cuts and shuffles used in magic? I think i have gotten a DVD from Ellusionist. But i never watch the whole thing because I find it too boring. But I don't really remember the name. Maybe someone could list out some DVDs I should get?
phsycofreak - March 10, 2007 05:08 AM (GMT)
well this dvd, uses one main principal. however i suggest you do not use the same cards again and again. well luke teaches the mi** shuffle

There's one dvd called Official Poker Card stunts that you should check out.
It teaches fancy revealing techniques and some other things as well.

I have this trick and I can tell you that the effect is great. You will be suprised how smple and easy it is to performed. I had performed it for many people (in Hong Kong as well as in Singapore) and jaws dropped! The treat is very simple and after watching the video you can perform it immediately.
You can definetly shuffle the deck before the trick. There are many ways of shuffling the deck if you know what I mean. The video shows 1 method which I think it is good enough.... trust me, no one will suspect anything.
Recommend to purchase - rate 9/10
