heh... i got something like that, but a 3and1/2 of diamonds... so gotta force the 7D on the spectators... works everytime and they're always left clueless "eh? 3.5D???"

i did something similar before...
i'll force a 7D, the lose the card in the deck. then make a card pop out by itself somehow. the audience will see that it's a 9D, but when they take the card out, it's only 3/4 of a card n with only 7 diamonds on it.
i did this with a brand new sealed deck, at least it seemed like so... :)

cant really remember where i've got the idea from..
think i've seen a demo video from penguin n just happen to knwo how it's done.
hmm, that's one thing not so good about having demos for advert purpose. lotsof them u'll know how or at least reproduce somehow once u see the effect.

penguin assortment deck only consist of double facers backers blanks etc..

They does have two classic card:- 3 1/2 clubs, trees(3) of clubs and 14 of clubs..
