How much RAM is your computer running on?
'Other softwares' will mean paid softwares.
If you are rich enough,
Sony Vegas ^_^

my ram is 1GB. Are you saying that it is a problem with the computer ram rather than the software? hmmm, i never really thought of that. That's why i'm wondering if others have faced the same probs as me.

Movie Maker is really very lousy. Even after editing, the video size is very very big. So theres no point using it. It will cause more trouble. Just use Sony Vegas. Its definitely worth the money. I'm using Sony's products like Sony Acid Xpress and things like that. They are so called 'branded' company and the products they sell up to standard. :D

1G ram is very good.. Just that Window movie marker got some bug i think, It also hang on me a few times.
I currently using Sony Vegas, and i like it alot, though you will spend hrs or days doing a video. (Commercial kind) but the end result is good!!

Windows movie maker, not a bad software but unfortunately its hangs very often and as what TheSlientIllusionists siad, the files tend to get very big. Another software i recommend is macromedia director, little bit on the high end but no harm trying.
