Title: Magician Foolers
Description: What are some good magician foolers?

What would you regard as a good "magician foolers" effect? I am not refering to fancy sleights that "outskill" other magicians, but more to commercial effects that have a high probability of fooling magicians.

Generally, most self working effects are magician foolers because no sleights are involved  Look up uncommon ones, killer ones are those magicians would have difficulty working backwards from memory... *evil grin* ;)

yup, self-working tricks are definitely killers to magician and would set them thinking for the next few days till they see you agn and tell you that they dont even have a clue about what you did to them the other day.

Magicians are greater suckers than laymen. We would buy any effects that look good on screen, or any effects that market inself as "100% impromptu/ no gimmicks/ minimal preparation/ easy to master...". Then it came we go @#$*$%!!!!

Anyway... I think I'm a bit off topic here. Magician foolers? Think a lot of Daniel Garcia's stuffs are. But I think we should be thinking more of performing to laymen than to magicians right? I

You should try this, use a whole array of sleight of hands to accomplish NOTHING. It fools me badly.

Totally agree. If I were to perform effects to a magician, I would do something impromptu and self working with no sleight of hands involved. So there is nothing to be exposed or worried to be exposed about. The best thing I would do to fool a magician is to act like doing a effect and then ended up act like I have forgotten what I'm doing. He would be like focusing so much then ended up in vain. Ha ha. Anymore good ideas to share?

Agreed with wat Ning mention. Self working effects can work real well. Don't forget. There are thousands and thousands of magic stuff out there. I don't think any magician can self proclaim they know everything. A simple stuff that is new or very very old, magician have not seen before can be a great killer. Hope it helps :P
