Cigapen by Jesse Feinberg

Effect

A cigarette changes into a real bic pen! Take a cigarette out of your pack and show it all around. With no cover, the cigarette visually changes into a regular pen. The pen can be shown all around, and even handed out for examination. No pulls, no difficult sleights.

Very easy to learn. Cigapen does 99% of the work...

The instructions include extra handlings and ideas. This brand new method will fool even the best magicians! You can also promote anti smoking with Cigapen... the possibilities are endless!

Cigapen by Jesse Feinberg

Cigapen claims that it “does 99% of the work” and that is true :) You are supplied with a gaffed pen that allows you to create the illusion of a cigarette turning into a pen. You end relatively clean and no pulls, lapping or other ditching devices are required.

As with several of Feinberg’s effects, the effect is very visual and strong but you have to be wary of angles. For a Youtube or TV performance, this would be a great piece but in the real world, it might honestly be very hard to pull this offer unless you are performing one-on-one.

For the stage performer, who has the distance and has the audience generally in front of him, this might work. However, one must have a reason to change a cigarette into a pen. So in essence... This is a very strong visual change but recommended only if you think angle restrictions are not critical in your performance environment or venue.
