I am looking at a number of effects and I would like to hear what you guys think of them before I go ahead purchasing them. I hope to make some purchases by the end of next week, so all comments will be greatly appreciated. If you have purchased any of these before, Let me know if these effects are worth it or whether they are a waste of money.

If you notice, a lot of stuff I am looking for is on Hypnotism. If you know of any "must have" resources on the topic of hypnosis, do let me know. I am looking especially for DVDs on hypnosis.

Some of these items are not "very famous", so it has been hard getting proper advise on what items are good or not. I will not be buying all, but I need to trim this list down. All help will be appreciated.

joeltay81 - April 4, 2007 05:34 PM (GMT)
You sponser and I'll get them all. <_<

That's not a recommendation.

Stuck is strongly recommended. It is like GONE and melt but it's much better cos it is impromptu.

Hypnosis stuff might not be your cuppa tea. You need the right kind of personality and stage presence to pull it off else it'd just come off cheesy/ lame/ fake/ boring/ etc. The material is also not exactly cheap, so you might want to research more into that before making the investment.

Between 2 Minds is a good DVD set imho. Stuck is not bad either =) Are you prepping for an upcoming show?

joeltay81 - April 10, 2007 02:36 PM (GMT)
I've been performing quite a bit to both friends and strangers in the last few weeks; often impromptu, mainly focusing on psychological forces, subconscious bodily and verbal suggestions and cues, pencil writing, etc.

I'll consider "stuck" and "between two minds". Thanks for the recommendations.

Is Stuck hypnotic?

Ace - April 10, 2007 06:50 PM (GMT)
lol nope stuck is not hypnotic! It is an impromptu coin through hand routine.

bigbadwolf - April 10, 2007 07:02 PM (GMT)
Oh, haha. Pardon my ignorance.

Sorry for replying in this thread but i would someone to recommand me a dvd. I looking for card tricks that involve ACES. For example the Topsy-Turvy Aces trick done by JC Sum during the gathering at TLMS studio. Looking for something to improve misdirections too.

Thanks in advance.
