Welcome to the Singapore Magic Circle forums. Ha ha. Hope you enjoy your stay and hope to meet you in the upcoming magic gatherings organised by the Mods around. Remember to read the rules too! "Good for your forum health" LOLS. Isn't this quote somewhere around this forum? Anyways, take care!

Hi Soc Gen, welcome to SMC forum too! May I know what type of card tricks do you like to perform to people? Example : gimmick, mental, sleight of hand etc. Hard to see around my age ya...haha. So you have started magic at the age of 20?

muscleaxl - April 10, 2007 11:00 AM (GMT)
Actually, the average age of the forum is getting higher... but it's a good thing for me, at least I don't feel so old.

Invisible, we do have quite a few 20++ folks around. Me, Jerome, Dry_Gin, Adrianlee etc. Aloy just dropped out of the league not too long ago. Also, there is Shade, who well, has long been out of the 20s, but we accept him anyway.. despite his age. :P

to SocGen: Yah, join us for our next gathering k. So which bank you are with? Maybe next time when we get cheated at card tables and need to borrow $$$ can find you.... ok, I know :off:

Hi Soc Gen,

Nice nick. Don't mind I make a guess, is your nick short for Société Générale? Fancy naming after the bank you work for ^_^

A warm welcome to SMC and I look forward to meet you our next gathering.

The Mods and I are organising a dinner gathering on 21st Apr. See here for more details: http://forums.singaporemagiccircle.com/ind...?showtopic=6081

Hope you can join us ^_^

Cheers
Jerome

Thanks for the warm welcome. I use to work for Soc Gen, not anymore.

I'm generally into close up stuff. I remembered being an idiot who paid an idiot in a shop in beach road to teach me other people's effect for $25.

I realised that all the effects the idiot taught can be learnt in dvds. I wouldn't call it a variation of the effect as the change is too subtle to be different. Talk about originality!

I wonder why such thieves exists, to elevate the level of magic in Singapore or to elevate his bank account? After spending such money, I realised that I was an idiot supporting an idiot.

I hope more people will realise this and stop supporting such idiots. Imagine the amount of money they have amassed over the years.

Anyway, enough of my ranting.

Shade - April 12, 2007 01:43 AM (GMT)
ROFL - you just made a very poignant point. Don't worry; we were all idiots once.

Hope to see you at our gathering soon! :)

How come all of you know Soc Gen is in french? I thought it means Soccer Generation or something....

Ok, regarding your eh... experience, I think that ill practice still exist in the forum. Because Shade will still try to charge me $25 for any trick I deem Bei Pai. Better watch out for him.... and did I mention he cheat at card games too?! :P

Ning - April 12, 2007 04:42 AM (GMT)
There Axl goes, talking nonsense again... LOL

Do try join us for SMC gatherings, it'd be nice to meet up.

Cheers!

Soc Gen

Very well phrased; from an idiot to an idiot. Ha........

Muscleaxl can never be onet although most of us try to sell our "Boey Pai" effect to him for $25.00.

Welcome to SMC.
