Title: How Much To Charge?

Gordy - April 12, 2007 01:25 PM (GMT)
Good Morning: Everyone
I'm not sure if this subject has surface. A little about my back grown . Im a single father of 3 has worked most of hes life in the auto industrial as you all may know Michigan has been hit the hardest in recent years so I figure I can pick up on my hobby ( Magic ) and try to make it happen.
Now my question is what would be the going price for a 1 to 2 hour show in a club or a private party, I also know at depends on how good you are and your experiences in the field. Any chart anyone knows of?.
We all know David Copperfield is making gold and some others are making silver but as a old timer like myself who sets my price?. I'm not the greatest but I can make you pop your eye balls here and there. Any suggestions?. Thanks for your time. Gordy

I think it hard for us to determine your price. It jolly well depend on how good you are and will clients willing to pay for your show. The range of show price can go from 200-700 for a 1/2 hour-1hours depend the type of show you do. The price may go further for a corporate show done by a professional magician. There are magicians giving less than 200. You got to determine your standard and price accordingly. Hope it helps. Thanks
