Mystical2004 - December 5, 2004 04:10 AM (GMT)

Bicycle (League Back) - Nice and Soft.
SeNgHoE - December 5, 2004 04:30 AM (GMT)
Hmm.. I personally use Alladins air chusions when im at home praticig. I will use my RED backed bikes.. Haha, dunno why, but i find them SEASONED just nice.. (sounds like im having a feast or somethiing) . Nvm, Use tally hos, they dont mind u dropping them. B)
iewgnod - December 5, 2004 05:54 AM (GMT)
Most probably Jerry Nuggets B)
i like Bee's texture and stuff though
retsevlys - December 5, 2004 07:43 AM (GMT)
Best Cards for flourishes?
Get bikes or tally hos.
Bike Rider backs are the most common. not bad. but i dont really like them.
League backs are much thinner then the regular bikes. great for dribbling. superb
Tactical fields is said to last longer then regular bikes. very expensive. and the red fonts are much better then that of a normal bike. blood red. gotta get my hand on these chicks.
Black Tiger Decks arent really that good. First edition is crap. Second edition is much better. it was made to be better then tally's but they suck. so thick. and screwed up after awhile. its only for eye candy.
Tally Ho's are the best. No doubt. Circle back are much thinner then fan back. so if u like thinner ones. go for circle back. Tally Ho's last longer so its the best cards for flourishes.
Bees are thick. not really recommended for fanning flourishes. no white borders. the design aint good for fanning.
Jerry Nuggets looks good. really great for cuts. but over a hundred bucks for one freaking deck. who the hell would use it for flourishes. (hey kev, have u given ur deck a good spring and a sweet pressure fan?..hahaha. it'll break ur heart)
Different cards are best for different kinda flourishes. Choose the deck that suits YOU.
Kevin - December 6, 2004 01:26 AM (GMT)
On an added note, the club special Bees are WAAAAAAY better than the usual ones you find around... these have the two bees on the backing, and you can see big H using them a lot. Sweet for dribbles, fans, cuts, spreads, gambling routines...
But no borders. Bummer :P

hi Kev,i saw a link on you website the one that shows all the Different Decks... the bee Deck with the borDers calleDl i think shooting stars ... where Can i get them in Singapore?
Daren - January 19, 2005 11:14 AM (GMT)
hmmm... i like to use angel when practising.... damn stiff.. cant even dribble properly wif them.... bees, bikes, tallys are good too...
SeNgHoE - January 19, 2005 01:44 PM (GMT)
Daren, angels are good... Stiff and good for cuts.. MADE IN BELGIUM
Daryl - January 19, 2005 01:47 PM (GMT)
IMO.. there are no cards that are "best for flourishing".. cos i feel that different cards suit different flourishes better. experiment with everything.. no point finding out the "best cards". Best advice Bone ever gave me ;)
sammyp10 - March 6, 2005 07:15 AM (GMT)
hmm.... i personally prefer stiffer cards like daren, i started of with angel too ( not japan meh ) loved the hardness and the ( un - smoothness ) cannot fan at all one.. maybe its just my difficulty with smoother cards cos they slip alot when im flourishing.. ( cuts ) when i wanna do fanning stuff , ill change my deck...to maybe bee or bikes. thats just my preference , but i love the tlly circle backs for magic and dribbling.. springing sound damm shiok.. nice and soft also after ure used to using angel all the tiem at home.. BUYAKASHA !
Mystical2004 - March 6, 2005 03:23 PM (GMT)
for flourish and stuff, i prefer league backs. for magic, riders do just fine. Vipers fit into neither category. guess wat... i left them in my cupboard for 4 days, and they stick together like 3 months old bikes... gawd... did not know that they are actually so bad quality...
Barney - March 7, 2005 05:33 PM (GMT)
Hey.. Sorry to stray off topic.. But since ya all were on the topic of cards, i felt i had to say this..
I found this brand of cards (here in S'pore), kinda cheap (ONE BUCK). I was thinkin 'Hey, let's see what it has to offer'. It was quite lousy.. Then i began playing around, and i realised the cards acted like Invisible Deck Cards! :o
I mean, when i orientated them in that manner, i was like 'WOW'.. (what a $$ saver B) ) didnt know that bad cards could have such an 'adverse adversed' effect..
Hope i didn't reveal anything here.. :D
Kevin - March 8, 2005 10:05 AM (GMT)
Hehe... so am I right to say that these cards you have aren't very good for fanning, Barney? :D
Anyhow, anyone who's still interested can still get my 2 unopened pack's of Jerry's over here:

Nicholas - March 8, 2005 10:57 AM (GMT)
hmm , Barney , so u mean that the deck you bought is a gimmick deck ? my english fail , dont really understand what you wrote sry
tham - March 8, 2005 12:27 PM (GMT)
2 sealed decks for $10m? hmm B)
kev is right. the cards simply did not fan/spread properly, and it acted in a way similar to the Invisible deck. it is probably not meant to be an ID. if it just so happens to work as well as an ID, gimme a PM
Barney - March 8, 2005 01:53 PM (GMT)
Let me clarify a little.
The deck is just a normal deck of cards. When u orientate the cards normally (all in one direction for playing, tricks etc..) they can fan quite OK.
But when u orientate them in the Invisible Deck manner (dun wanna explain too much here), the cards, because of their finishing, behave like an ID!
I've done the most common ID trick, and people can't see any flaws when i handle the deck, though i myself can see one flaw quite well.
Hope everyone understands! Anymore questions, or if you've got an odd question to ask me (like where to get it), PM me..
Remb.. Its ONE SINGAPORE DOLLAR. *AMAZING* :off: :g:
Daryl - March 8, 2005 03:29 PM (GMT)
OK.. no more ID talk.. i'll let the last few posts pass..
back on topic..
I LOVE LEAGUES!
william_wwong - April 3, 2005 08:52 AM (GMT)
hmm jus curious
Does anyone find Tally-hos to be a little tad more difficult to fan evenly?
I tried out a deck of fan backed tallys and realised that when i fan, some parts arent that even. (meaning a much bigger space between cards)
However, i do not have such problem with my regular bikes or tacticals.
Desmond - April 3, 2005 09:58 AM (GMT)
personally i find tallies better in fanning than bikes :P
SeNgHoE - April 3, 2005 11:09 AM (GMT)
Leagues are the best after breaking them in..
BuaYa - April 3, 2005 12:13 PM (GMT)
I like to use picture cards. Playboy deck is teh 1337. You'll know what I mean if you saw them...

Are there any simple, yet effective methods to breaking in a new deck of cards FAST? Any 'rituals' that you carry out, so as to season them? :g:
Btw, i like Bees (those plain ones, not the Stinger Back ones, for the look). Thumb fans are smooooth. ^_^

Kevin's Warm-up a la Essence
-Riffle/Dribble, 5 of.
-Faro shuffle and bridge, 5 of.
-Spring, 5 of.
Mix slowly with a warm batch of cuts, fans, and armspreads, and fanning powder to taste. Slays an audience of thousands.

Nicholas - April 3, 2005 12:44 PM (GMT)
season ?
put ur deck in the freezer over night , which is what i did to my tigers .
Caution : only do that if u believe me
Ans : Eh .......
too much moisture in the freezer , cards dampens adn die .
hmm
breakign cards , i use springs . yeah .
i prefer the bee decks with 2 bee picture at the backs .
oh yeah , Kev , u use aladdins often if i am not wrong ?
do u find them more difficult to season ?
i mean they are much stiffer than normal cards .
Daren - April 3, 2005 12:50 PM (GMT)
Get ACed Aladdins..
they're the best(besides jerries)..
the fan properly they are quite stiff..
currently my favourite pack of cards, IMO the best(besides jerries)..
to break cards in ? faro them as much as possible..
do waterfalls, springs and some cuts..
then go prctise in front of mirror ur favourite routine.. B)

I just noticed this when i was looking at the earlier posts.
Is there really any difference between Circle back and Fan back Tallys? I mean, i'm not a Tally user (so i'm in no position to say), but from most webbies i visit, they say that its just cosmetic. Did i miss out on something here?
neo23 - April 3, 2005 12:57 PM (GMT)
where to find ACed aladdins.. any specific shop or somethin? cos i cant seem to find them anywhere
SeNgHoE - April 3, 2005 01:01 PM (GMT)
This is why daren deck never get broken in , hes a wimp at springs!
YEA!

No way man, they only LOOK like Aladdins, maloney!! AHAHHAHA
*ch-chk*
Alright, put the gun down, okay! okay! Alright, I DO use Aladdins... but cuts are what I specialize in, so the stiffness is a joy to me.
For fans and stuff, Leagues are teh 1337 ;)

ACed Alladins are really rare!! :D
I don know if it was a misprint or something but it seems that after the previous batch, the alladins stopped having AC.
Some of us are lucky to have gotten them quite some time back. I bought mine at the shop near Shaw (where MC is located). The one located beside the automatic doors at the side entrance. But i think they no longer have such alladins.
Only blues ones were ACed. Haven been able to find red ACed ones.
All the best to those trying to find them!!

personally, I don't find much of a difference between ACed Aladdins and bikes. I find that tallys last much much longer, considering I'm still working on my first and only tally deck so far, about a month or so. while at the same time I've been through 1 ACed aladdin and countless bikes over 4 months.
as said earlier in the thread, it all depends on personal preference. if you work well with $1 china-made decks, why not use them? (other than being put down by gordie ^_^ )
