Pambudi AKA MagicalPam, our favorite Indonesian mentalist in Singapore will be leaving the country shortly because of work. He has graciously offered a FREE lecture on mentalism to SMC before he flies. Read on for the details...

When: Sun, 6 May 07 @ 5 to 7pm

Where: Function Room of Club House @ Signature Park Condominium

How To Get There:
1) Stop at the bus-stop right in front of Signature Park, Jalan Jurong Kechil (it's very near Ngee Ann Polytechnic)
2) Inform security guards that you're attending Mr Pambudi's party at the club house
3) Note: The official adress is Toh Tuck Road, but it is much easier to go from jalan Jurong Kechil. See map
here! There is a direct bus from Orchard Rd, which is 174 & another from Bukit Batok MRT which is 61.

What's happening:

17.00-18.00: Pambudi's Mentalism Lecture
18.00-19.00: Open discussion (Q&A)

Please note that Pambudi's mentalism lecture notes will be sold at the photocopy cost of just S$5, while stocks last at the event. Don't miss it! ^_^

Pambudi will share:

1)Knowledge is Power
This is Pambudi’s original idea using 3 enveloppe predictions using magazine, playing cards and dictionary. The mentalist is able to predict the choosen word from the magazine, a selected playing card and another word selected from 3 dictionnary in 3 different languages.

2)Three-quivoque
Another approach to apply twice equivoque choice using ESP symbols. A volunteer decides to put 3 different symbols in 3 different place. The mentalist had the correct prediction that was in the envelope A new presentation style based on equivoque choice method, Corinda and Anneman’s principle.

3)Dream Holiday
Five spectators write their favorite holiday destination.
Another spectator chooses one of them. The final choice will match the giant prediction on the table. This is adapted from Richard Ostarlind’s idea with different presentation style.

4)Street Gambler
This is an impromptu gambling routine using 5 pieces of blank cards. Very simple, easy-to-do, straight forwad and geat impact to your audiences. Pambudi uses and gives another twist to Corinda’s principle and Peter Nardi’s idea.

5)Bill-in-Orange
Another simple yet effective method for Bill-in-Orange using dollar note in local currency. This is Pambudi’s style which use minimum sleight of hands so you can concentrate on the presentation.

6)Epilogue:

Hey Pam, Wont miss your great lecture. It will be a great lecture for people that are into mentalism. It will be a straight foward, no sleight of hands lecture. I believe so, because Pam don't know any, as far as I heard from him. LOL!!

Wow... less than an hour into the initial post announcing Pambudi's mentalism lecture & there's already such a hearty response :lol: Is this impressive or what?

IMHO, Pam has come a long way & is a very unique performer... not just because of his delightful Indonesian-English, but Pam has a pretty impressive performing track record, with various magic awards in his pocket, in case you didn't know! :g:

He successfully merges his special brand of comedy with serious mentalism. Truly, he made me realise that mentalism doesn't have to be all that dark or somber! It can be light-hearted with many giggles along the way. In fact, I truly enjoy the thought process that goes into Pam's presentations and ideas, so it'd be a pity if one misses this great opportunity he has graciously extended to SMC.

Pambudi is an excellent performer, in case any one has yet to witness his magic. He is truly a great showman and I always enjoy his acts.

I suggest if got 30 people, everyone pay ard 10 bucks so Pamudi can cater food for 30 pax. Won't that be much better. :P . Pamudi already giving free lecture and free location to use. a bit harsh for Pamudi to cough out $$ for buffet dinner. But if Pamudi is willing, why not? :P

This is Pambudi, thanks for the great response for this lecture.
My apologize for late reply, I just came back from Indonesia (where I have conducted same lectures in 2 cities, great response as well )

Here some answers to your questions:

- will there be a dinner provided ? .... Keep dreaming :-)

- can you bring your son?
, we may have to give an exception to MAD understanding that he may have to take care of his son, MAD it is ok to bring your son, please make sure that he will not make any noise during the performance/lecture

- will there be any sale of magic props?
I will release the lecture note for a photocopy cost of 5 SG$
and I will release several mental effects with the price between 10 to 20 SG%
please start to save your money.

Warning :
some of you still ask me if I will release the 4D, horse-racing and Soccer prediction effetcs (yes, I receive a lot of PM and sms),
the answer is .... KEEP DREAMING :-)
