Ace - May 1, 2007 09:29 AM (GMT)
Hey there is a kid doing some blindfold and x-ray eyes effect on Ch U today! The show is at 830pm!

Icy - May 1, 2007 11:35 AM (GMT)
My mind tells me it's probably not a good one. (WOW, I am looking into the future!) What's the show's name btw?

Wow, Mentalist!!
If i'm not wrong, Ace is refering to the programme: On The Beat 2.

Just watched the show.... not bad for a 9 year old kid.

I think it is more convincing if a 9 year old boy is doing the x ray eyes effect. All of them think it's real O.o

yong_tianadeline - May 1, 2007 12:40 PM (GMT)
Erm i just saw it.. Its not exactly an effect?
Claims to be real after 'linking' the right and left brain??!!

LarryDK - May 1, 2007 12:40 PM (GMT)
Ah, no.. Not a good one.. To believe the way he did it. YUCKS!! okie, he is just a kid, shouldnt get so over headed about it.

Anyway, I think the way they classified it is too much ba, "Having a better and stronger brain power"

Ace - May 1, 2007 12:47 PM (GMT)
Lol Larry you are so mean to the kid! :P

Ok, guess he can get away with it partly because he is just 9 years old. People will trust 9 year old kids more than magicians and mentalist lol

Anyway is there really a school that teaches kids X ray eyes and "'linking' the right and left brain"?!

LarryDK - May 1, 2007 12:51 PM (GMT)
Ya, I show the new in newspaper before about this school developing this brain thingy.

Because its so obvious on how the kid did it, that I feel so disappointed.

They should look for me. I show them the real blindfold act. LOL!!

Ace - May 1, 2007 12:55 PM (GMT)
Yeah!!

Then Singapore can see what a real blindfold act looks like! ;)

Think they might arrange for a pk match between you and the kid?! lol

LarryDK - May 1, 2007 01:12 PM (GMT)
LOL, the kid cannot tahan.

alafista - May 1, 2007 02:11 PM (GMT)
ooo so its not some real superhuman abilities by the kid?

Ace - May 1, 2007 02:34 PM (GMT)
Yup, it's just an old mentalism effect.

LarryDK - May 1, 2007 02:44 PM (GMT)
Super human. Lol, I give him a clear cut blindfold, see he can see anot. LOL!! Thats mean.

bigbadwolf - May 1, 2007 02:50 PM (GMT)
He's just a kid, why so critical?

Ace - May 1, 2007 03:05 PM (GMT)
Yup! It's not bad for a kid to be able to perform the effect and he manage to make the whole prodution team believe that he is the real thing. They give him 3WOW which is quite rare.

Don't think most of us here are capable of that when we were 9 years old.

Ace - May 1, 2007 04:49 PM (GMT)
Hmm just watch the show again.

Did the school really say that they can help kids develop x ray eyes abilities by "linking their left brain and right brain"?! Cos it seems like the parents really believe that the school is helping their kids to develop superhuman abilities.

Not sure how much is the school fee. And I'm not sure what the parents will think after they knew their kids are learning mentalism effects and not some superhuman abilities.

If the school is only teaching mnemonics or memory system and stuff that have an education purpose, i'm sure the parents don't mind. But X ray eyes?!! I don't see how this is going to aid the child in his or her school work.

sheeke - May 1, 2007 05:57 PM (GMT)
Hmm whats the programme about? A promotion or something?
Anw how could a kid get a change to perform that?

Just my weird queries =)

Ace - May 1, 2007 06:03 PM (GMT)
It's a programme about things with a "WOW" factor in Singapore. It covers almost anything... from food, female prison guard  to houses full of hello kitty collectibles.

I think the programme found the school first, then get one of the students there to show their x ray eyes ability on the show.

Thanks for your quick reply

Hmm so they went to a school to pick out an extraodinary kid to entertain ?

Ace - May 1, 2007 06:17 PM (GMT)
Nope, not to entertain...but it's quite entertaining! Esp the part when the female host covers her b**** when she knew the kid has x ray eyes lol. They just want to test the kid.

So they set up a few tests to see if the kid have the ability to see through the blindfold. And the result is under "Test Conditions" the kid can really see through the blindfold!!

But I think it is abit misleading to say that the kid really aquire x ray eyes ability after he attended the "brain power development" lessons. -_-

Haha whats the ***** Is it sensored?

Ace - May 1, 2007 06:29 PM (GMT)
Hmm i guess you dun need to be a mentalist to predict what that word is? lol

LarryDK - May 2, 2007 03:11 AM (GMT)
Hmm, I rem reading the article about this school, And this guy mentioned that they teaches the kids on how to develop their brain. And some of the kids are better in a sense having X-ray eyes.

Got one case where the kid say that she can read better with her eyes blindfold, etc etc.

The thing now is, not that I don't believe reading through blindfold, up to certain extend, if a brain really increase its level of peneration. it really did, possible to see through, but who will know it other than the person himself or herself.

If he/she really have x-ray eyes, then the school will be overwhelming with students, but I seriously think that whether a person having special abilities, is not up to the school teaching what, but its the person himself/herself.

Its very misleading that teaching the way to link up the brains will develop X-rays eyes. And I think its very misleading to the public that its possible to do that. Prove to us that he or she can really see through by undergoing good tests, not just blindfolding the eyes.

i don't like the idea where people uses other people's weakness and earn money through that way. Its wrong to do that, and not ethical.

sheeke - May 2, 2007 05:26 AM (GMT)
Hmm so that this programme is a scam?
To trick parents of their hard earn money to send their kids to this school?

Is it what this advertisment is all about?

LarryDK - May 2, 2007 05:30 AM (GMT)
No, Its not a scram or what. Its just misleading people to think that their child can have psyhic eyes by going to the school.

WOAH..

Thats bad enough already, and mostly thouse who will be tricked are the less educated parents with low income per month.

Outrageous!

LarryDK - May 2, 2007 05:38 AM (GMT)
thats the point actually.

I quite sad at the fact that its misleading people that "your kids can be like him"

I thought its already bad enough to show on newspaper, but well, sometime, news are just news. But now on TV, i think there is a blasting phone calls for the school.

theWeaver - May 2, 2007 06:44 AM (GMT)

Larry's Blindfold course cost US150 per person. Lecture Materials not included. Course involves mechanics of "opening" up your brain and "true sight". Course does not ensure that all participates will be about to achieve X-rayed vision. Join at your own risk.

sheeke - May 2, 2007 03:19 PM (GMT)
