His patter was monotonous and a little boring, i could not really dichper what he was doing at any point.

Thanks for the critique Sheeke. :) But strangely, that's how most of us are in a real performance. We tend not to take notice because... well - it's ourselves!

Which brings me back to what Adrian and Bob mentioned in another post regarding showmanship - the only real way to build showmanship is simply to REALLY PERFORM!

And by perform I mean of course to real people.
