Did you use flash cotton? I tried using the fire wallet last week with facial cotton soaked in butane gas, but it did not work.

For fire products, generally, first of all check for sparks. If there is a ignition spark, that means the mechanism is working. 2nd check the strength of the spark, is it, lightly, or its very obvious bright. If its the 2nd one, that means no problem with mechanism liao.

If its the 1st one, its time to change either the spark, or the battery that control the spark, don't be surprised that the battery will be flat because in the end, to create a spark, you need electric spark also.

After all checked, and yet cannot get it on all the time, check the gas outlet. Is the gas outlet pointing correctly towards the spark? Or is it shifted away, 2nd, check for gas flow, can you smell the kerosene when there is no fire, or its just clear air. If its the second one, check the switch to on the outlet, it means the mechanism of opening and closing of wallet.

Ya, basically these are the steps to check fire output. BUT please be careful when you check, for spark or for gas, either case, make sure its safe to check before doing it.

In order to create spark, you need electric shock or else, how you think it light up? got 2 stones inside and keep rubbing itself?? <_<

most likely is gas outlet will be your problem.

The kaps on fire wallet does not use a battery.

Since you say that there is a spark, the only possible problem should be the fuel source. Maybe try adding more fluid. The fluid gets burnt up very quickly. Also, I've found that if you add fluid but don't use it, the fluid "disappears" within one or two hours, depending on the surrounding conditions I think. Try use it immediately after adding the fluid and make sure you add enough.

Good luck.

Check the flint.

Ive experienced this with the few fire wallets i have, it might be good air flow in your area which causes the fluid to evaporate much faster than usual(something like diffusion).

My way to precent this will be to use a lighter to light up the wallet then the rest is without the lighter. Only the 1st light with a lighter.

And dont open the wallet fully when lighting because it will help to concentrate the evaporation which will be in contact with your spark to aid in the ingnation.

Make a quick check accordingly to see what's the issue:

1) If the lighter fluid on the inner kevlar strip doesn't light with a lit match or a lighter, change the bottle. As you know, flames are the largest when the lighter fluid is at its 'freshest' *wink*

2) If there's no problem lighting it, then your flint needs to be replaced. All Jardonett Wallets, aka KAPS on Fire Wallets come with an extra piece so use that :)

All should work well then, since there's no weird batteries or extra things... it's a very simple operation... good luck! ^_^

The flint needs to be changed quite often if you use your Kaps on Fire very often. You said you just changed the flint and you asked where to get the flint? Lols. Anyways, I need to get mine changed too. Anybody has any ideas where I can get the flint? Thanks.
