Red_Deck - May 8, 2007 07:50 AM (GMT)
Eh thats cool sh*t man~!!! I love the fuzziness of the whole thing, and the music just adds to it. I feel so inspired after watching it. Haha  Great stuff~!!
Oh and Ning~!!! Looking hot there ;)
Like one of Charlie's angels.
BAdmiNTon - May 8, 2007 08:35 AM (GMT)

binaryzero_1 - May 8, 2007 08:41 AM (GMT)

theWeaver - May 8, 2007 08:44 AM (GMT)

woah
yong_tianadeline - May 8, 2007 09:17 AM (GMT)
I thought the fuzziness sort of preserved and maintained the mysterious kinda of feeling... Sort of 'diao wei kou' if you know what i mean - makes you want to see it clearly.
And again.. I think its VERY VERY NICE!! :)
Ade.
neo23 - May 8, 2007 09:43 AM (GMT)
niceee.
could be improved on the video quality and making the shots continuous instead of cut scenes.
but.. whoa.
MAGIC BABE FTW!
;)
terenceteo - May 8, 2007 10:24 AM (GMT)
GREAT PRODUCTION ;)
Ning, you look amazing !
I can see a Ning a RISING STAR here !
JC Sum looked just like a ordinary Co-Star here :P
But, video quality can improve a bit lah <_<
iNvIsIbLe - May 8, 2007 10:41 AM (GMT)
Wahhhhhh, not bad ya Ning...haha. You look cool with this attire! Haha... Well, the illusion and music is great but the video has to be clearer to capture audience's attention. As mentioned by Red_Deck, the impression of the appearance indeed looks like one of the charles angel. Haha. Nice video ya! :D
Itachi - May 8, 2007 11:01 AM (GMT)
NIcely done sugoi desu! But... lol i felt the ending walkin to the screen part a bit awkward. :P heh and why zoom in on the helmet? shud zoom in on a "conceptmagic" crest or sth liddat rite? den can act as avertisement video also haha
anyways roland good on u too man. well coordinated accentuation of music to the appearences.

WHAT! Jc sum co-star? If Jc see's this he will make you disappear man. haha kidding.
I love the vid, it's the fuzziness that gives it some sort of ancient kinda feel. Well done!
hihs - May 8, 2007 11:50 AM (GMT)
whoa nice video!
production of that bike was.. impressive and amazing! :o
btw, ning i remember u don have the licence yet right... =.=
ming - May 8, 2007 12:34 PM (GMT)
Nice vid, but didn't like the fuzziness and the camera cutting from showing the front to showing the back of the thing (hope you get what I mean).
Fuzziness makes it look like you're trying to hide something, and suddenly showing the back does that as well. Although I guess this was meant to be a promo for a live effect, so it probably wouldn't matter to the intended audience of someone who wanted to see the effect performed live. But for a vid on youtube, the video effects are rather distracting.
Broderick - May 8, 2007 01:04 PM (GMT)
haha how much for appearing JC sum?joking lol :D :D
BangHao - May 8, 2007 01:11 PM (GMT)
That carpark look familiar to me also.Haha.Erm.I think this is the first local production video on magic that is nicely done up, including the visual efect from the start. Give a "something-strange-going-to-happen" feeling like shooting some kind of magic series like that.. haha
Gabriel-wong - May 8, 2007 02:15 PM (GMT)
Hi. Its been ages since i post on SMC. Nice video but i have to agree with the others about the Fuzziness. Cant even see faces properly.
But, overall a great video. DOnt look like the usual ning. Haha.
<Aaron> - May 8, 2007 02:26 PM (GMT)
omgomgomg that was dang coool. very nice!! and i like the editing, dang coool feel to it!!! ^_^

SEXXAAAAYYYY!
Video seems to be done by Windows Movie Maker.
I'll recommend Pinnacle Studio for more versatility. ;)
Well done JC and Ning!
Cheers,
Ken
Josh - May 8, 2007 03:34 PM (GMT)
Its really very neat! very cool! B)
I just wonder if the shots are continuous (and slightly clearer), will it make it even more convincing?
:)
zOOm - May 8, 2007 03:38 PM (GMT)
Ning...can make the bike appear at my house carpark...then it's key to my pocket...but dun want u here. hahahah please!!!
timo - May 8, 2007 04:36 PM (GMT)
I agree with kenneth, i got a very strong feeling the vid was made using Windows Movie Maker
jcsum - May 8, 2007 05:11 PM (GMT)
Hi everyone,
Wow! I knew that Ning posted this in the afternoon but I didn’t expect such a tremendous response so fast!
Thanks for all your comments! All have been duly noted, considered and taken in consideration for future videos.
A bit of background info on this video: This is a half -personal project that Ning & I undertook and half-work as it is a showcase for specific clients for specific projects. Not getting in the commercial motivation of the video, it was our intention to create a cool, edgy, urban and contemporary video that we would like to watch. I have produced over 200min of magic media content but this is the first time everything would be 100% in our control.
The decision was to take one of my original stage illusions that we perform in our live shows and create an ‘underground’ version. The ‘fuzziness’ and grainy treatment on the video is deliberate and not a result of a poor resolution or quality video. Ning shared my original vision for the concept and feel of the illusion. I then left it in her good hands to provide artistic direction for the video and I think she did a tremendous job. Harry, the video editor, understood the vision as well and basically translated it to the final product. He is a full-time professional & film-maker whose documentary has been screened in film festivals locally and overseas… so he DID NOT use Windows Movie Maker. Roland did a fantastic job scoring the music to create the audio feel of the piece and will be working with us more in future. Thanks also to those behind the scenes during the shoot that were not credited.
We produced this on top of our regular show work and projects and are really pleased with the result. We are already in pre-production for a #2 ‘underground’ video that has no projected release date as of now. It really depends on our schedule and it looks like we will be traveling a lot these two months.
If we inspired you with the video, it was not our intention but we are honoured.
If we entertained you with the video, it was our intention and we thank you for your time.
If you share this video with your friends, we will be grateful.
For those who know where this undisclosed location is… don’t tell anyone otherwise we have to kill you…
Thanks.
Best,
J C

Ber-U-Tee-Fool! Inspiring Video! Well done!
wwdbs - May 8, 2007 10:03 PM (GMT)
Its a nice production. IMHO introduction of JC could have been made bit more dramatic by reducing the 6 seconds interval between point 44s to 50 seconds.
Daryl - May 9, 2007 02:58 AM (GMT)
Nice editing man, I liked it.
You've come a long way Ning...!
Shade - May 9, 2007 04:33 AM (GMT)
SWEET Video! :) More great things to come from Concept:Magic I'm sure!

ninku10 - May 9, 2007 04:48 AM (GMT)
I like the 'feel' of this video. It combined nicely with the whole idea of appearring something. But i feel the tempo whereby the screen was raised before JC sum appear was a bit slow. Both looked way too cool than the bike but the ending shouldn't focus on the helmet.Ning looked fabulous in this video.
inquirer - May 9, 2007 05:38 AM (GMT)
that was sweet
nice soundtrack... post more vids please B)
LarryDK - May 9, 2007 08:03 AM (GMT)
Great introduction video, Simply amazing for that kind of appearance effect. Thumbs up.
:off:
BUT!!! Redo the video, I lend you my full face helmet!!! Its black and white helmet, TOTALLY MATCH!!
Ning - May 9, 2007 10:50 AM (GMT)
A BIG THANK YOU to all for your wonderful vote of confidence, helpful constructive suggestions & also the offer of the loan of a full face helmet  I'm glad that everyone seems to like this pet project... as J C mentioned, expect more funky things to come! *grin*
Cheers,
ning
jemarcus - May 9, 2007 01:18 PM (GMT)
Impressive introductory. Maybe J C can do abit more butt shake to add to the funkiness :D
No complains, no comments, job well done.
PalmLine - May 9, 2007 03:09 PM (GMT)
Wah... magic babe... I want one!!! haha
Hey Ning, great to see you're doing well. And good to know your role isn't reduced to the cheesy magi's assistant! JC, very nice appearance at the start, how did you do that? haha... Overall very nice... except that the illusion box looks very much out of place at the carpark. Maybe you can dress up the illusion box to suit the environment more?
I give the vid two thumbs and a big toe up!

Nice! Looking forward to more videos from Concept:Magic ! =)
M.A.D. - May 10, 2007 06:32 AM (GMT)
My mind tell me that JC Sum might wanted to be let Ms Ning to be his front line and he is moving to back stage. B)
