take a look at this..

cyril coin thru soda can

cyril's version of coin thru soda can. quite impressive as the can is held by someone else (if she is really a spec).

anyone seen this method before?

That's a nice one. That's what I mean by Cyril is always personalising and giving a new twist to old effects. Very nicely done. I can think of a way to do exactly what he did, but it would take so much set up I probably will not perform it to friends. The normal soda and can is strong enough. Impromptu and no set up with any borrowed can.

Ya, its nice. But its more for stage show more than for on the street. It sure gives the impression that the coin actually went in.

Have you watched the one where he put a goldfish in a sealed plastic bottle?

Yup. I had seen the goldfish one. It is a cap in bottle effect, just that he replaced the cap with a fish lol.

hey.

I suspect this is similar to indecent. I can only say that we are making some interesting assumptions about the trick which may not be true.

how is this similar to Indecent?

Anyways his effect is definitely not as impromptu as Wayne's version.
And more importantly, it will be troublesome to... prepare the effect.
(Assuming I've got the method right, which I am pretty confident of)

Cyril did a wonderful job at it.
His handling was flawless too!

But as I mentioned,
while many probably know how it's done,
It's actually more trouble to "get it done"

To be honest, while to us magicians it could seem to be incredible...
I honestly believe we can modify "Sinful" to achieve the same effect he had done.

I asked a colleague to view the clip and specifically asked him what made that performance magical.

He pointed out these things.

- Coin vanishes
- Hears the coin in the can
- spectator can pour it out
- coin is proven to be original one

Using the concepts of Sinful, it wouldn't be difficult to modify the handling or routine to achieve the above points!
I think a simple act of letting the spectator pour out the can,
can deal a vast difference.
