Hello everybody, I need some ideas on what to perform when someone hands you a deck and ask you to show them a trick? Lets say like around 5 tricks? What do you think you would show them? Sometimes I can't really think of what to perform last minute when someone hands me their deck and ask me to do a trick. Please advice, thanks.

Take a look at Aldo Colombini and Harry Loyrane videos. They are mostly impromptu card effects. Not only 5 effects, give you 5 days also cannot perform finish.

Thanks for the advice. But I only need 5 effects for something like 5 minutes just to entertain awhile if someone approaches me and ask me to perform some effects.

sitting down do 2CM or ACR..
standing up do card to pocket the impromptu one.
thats what i would do.

5 tricks will most likely give you a 15 minutes performance already. There is a clip on the Invisible palm under the Cards Section. That is impromptu.

Of course not forgetting the usual Ellusionists' effects. Stigmata, tricks from CC1-CC2, etc.

normally it will last like 10min with lots of pattering
a good acr should not last longer then 2min it start to get boring from then on.

Yup. Talking about ACR, It is my first trick that I have learnt in magic. I had always performed it without failed when my colleague asked me to show him a good trick using his deck. Another trick I will also perform impromptu is a strong mentalism trick.

Sometimes, I find that doing card tricks doesn't necessary to perform all sleights of hand tricks. I always like to have my spectators to shuffle the deck, cut the deck themselves, remember their card,put back the card into the deck, shuffle it again and eventually, I revealed their selected card using my own technique. :D

Yea. use any method to mark an impromptu deck of cards and you got a nice routine going your way.

I got a routine that I love to do with a normal deck. Forgot to include it in my last post.

The audience picks a card and hand the card to me. I take the card(back of card facing me) with my head turned to the side. I touch the face of the card and say I'll try to feel the ink on the cards. After 10 to 15sec I will know what the card is and name out the cards. No marked cards btw =)

I thought of the effect and method, but I'm not sure if there are something similar on the market.

Well, it depends on the situation you're in.. You got to know if your spectators want to see lots of eye popping action or are ready to sit down chill and watch magic..

The latter allows much longer routines where u can patter much more where routines really flow into each other. However, if the people would just want to see magic for 5 minutes and walk off, short routines including card changes, transpositions, appearances and disappearances would be ideal. Just 1 Cent

What I would usually do for short, sweet and direct magic would be simple card changes in spectators' hands, probably simple mind reading and some colour changes. Longer routines would be productions of 4 of a kins and stuff like that. =) Hope these helps..

Yes the deck can be shuffled by them! And it is 100% free choice! No F****! This can be done with a borrowed deck. ^_^

Thank you for the information. I did not know the short name for it lols. Hmm, I sort of seen through the whole Crash Course One and there are a few cool tricks inside it which can be used for the 5mins thingy. Ha ha.

You just need to secretly make a m**k, s*****h on c****p anywhere on the card.

Btw I don't touch the deck for the entire performance. I just need to touch the card. They can just pick a card and hand it with it's back facing me. Hence I would have no chance to even m**** the cards in anyway.

I don't think ellusionist will accept this effect. First of all this is not the typical KILLER EFFECT. It lacks the punch of other ellusionist product.
I hope to market it, but i have to be sure this is original.
