Does anyone here perform "entourage?" Those who do, please private message me. Would like to discuss platter options and order of routine. Thanks.

I use this patter about eunuchs guarding the concubines. Haha. It's kind of crappy. But basically i asked my guy friend to imagine himself as the king. I then proceed on to ask him to name me his favourite concubine (choose one queen). One day he lost his sense of sight temporarily. So, his job now is to distinguish his favourite concubine from the rest without looking at it. He can touch it, can smell it, anything except see. Yarh.. Hope you like my patter. Enjoy. My guy friends enjoy this presentation. They just feel that the story all make sense.

That's a nice storyline. Much better then the original - which I did not really like.
Just wondering. Is it a stronger effect (or weaker) to ask the person to eliminate all the other queens (three out of the four face down cards) except for his "thought-of" queen... then ask him to reveil the queen he was thinking about. You flip the card and show that it is his thought-of queen. Praise him for knowing which card is the right queen. one out of four chance. Praise him for being a great magician. Then show that the three cards he eliminated were actually all jokers... giving the impression that you forced him to think of the chosen queen from the start.
in other words, reverse the order of the trick.
What do you think Shu Fi? Does perform entourage backwards give the impression that you transmitted the thought on him subconsiously? I am thinking of using this following simple explanation of how a well trained psychologist can send thoughts to their spectators using psychological subtities and NLP. I've not tried performing this way yet. Still seeking opinions first.

In the first place, when performing this trick, I only intend to make my audience the winner and at the same time, try to entertain by telling them interesting stories. For this particular trick, I try to bring my audience to the ancient times in China where there are king, eunuchs and concubines. I don't bother bragging about me being able to send thoughts or read people's mind or anything like that. I let them decide what they want to call me after the trick. If they want to call me a magician, then so be it. If they want to call me a satan, then let it be. Get what I mean?

Oops.. I realised that I have not really answered your question. In my opinion, just try to make everything logical. For me, I prefer to tell them first what the four cards are. They cant see. They would wonder why. But because my patter is such that they lost their sense of sight and blah blah blah... Everything has a purpose now. So in short, as long you have reasons for doing whatever you are doing, then you are fine.
