Dominatricks (Book With CD) by Tyler WilsonDominatricks drips with style. It's stacked with 150 pages of material that professional close-up magician Tyler Wilson uses night after night to transform deafening laughter into stunned silence. You can easily build a close-up / walk-around act on these routines and in fact, you probably will!
Published by Andi Gladwin and with a foreword by David Acer, the book is packed full of photographs and has a layout that dares to be different! Also included is a free bonus CD-ROM containing a performance video, bonus material and even a version of the book with the descriptions and photos adapted specifically for left handed magicians!
Nothing is left out of this book - you get the full handlings, presentations, jokes, theory and tips reaped from thousands of real world performances. Here are just a few of our favourite tricks from the book:
Scarred Warp
Perhaps the only Card Warp variant that Roy Walton has publicly praised. See what happens when Tyler asks the intriguing question, 'What's happening inside the card tunnel while the folded card is passing through it?' His answer will shock you.
B52 Shooter
This is hands down the most visual Triumph routine ever created. Within minutes of learning, face up cards will start rapidly shooting out of the mish-mashed deck in a flurry of motion ... all with one hand!
Coke Inhabit
Coin In Bottle has never been so sweet. The bottle is given away with the coin still sealed inside as a keepsake. There's a big twist to this routine that we're keeping a surprise until you read the book, or get fooled badly seeing it done live by someone who did!
Stick it to the Man
If you love strong mentalism but don't have the receding hairline required to pull it off, this is a fresh new plot guaranteed to get just as many gasps as laughs!

Review by Bob Chua (Professional Magician), Resident Advisor of Magic BoutiqueDominatricks (Book With CD) by Tyler WilsonI would say this is one of the best magic books I have read. It also comes with a CD, showing video clips of the moves, PDF files for the lefty and templates to make your gaffs.
The first section under the title Busting Chops on “Rub & Tug”, “Pitching a Tent Vanish”, handling of the Tilt and a few more utilities moves is worth more than the price of this book. For those who are familiar with “Rub-A-Dub, the card supposed to vanish faced down, Tyler did it face up. Also his handling on the standard Tent Vanish with a single card is done face up. Many handlings are also mentioned on the Tilt Move.
This book is not meant for the beginner and need a lot of works. Who would say performing good effect is easy. Mastering them will make you a top notch card person and also magicians’ fooler.
The next section of the book “Routine Examination” containing 12 effects and all of them are killers.
Incidentally, this book also comes with a nice effect on coins namely “Matrimoney”. For those who are familiar with the “Tenkai Pennies”, it’s done together with a spectator’s wedding band. His “Scarred Warp” has brought Roy Walton’s Classic Card Warp where you can see the change in center of the other card. You must know Card Warp to understand what I meant.
Tyler’s “Dirty Stinking Ape In The Middle” is a Sandwich effect using one move to accomplish everything. For advance card person, the title may have some similarity to a marketed effect. Imagine sticking a “Post It” on any card and it turn out to be the spectator’s signed selection. A variation of the ambitious card, called Compost-It. Tyler’s Open Travellers routine comes with a Technicolor twist. One of his favorite, Sloppy 30 Seconds whereby a indifferent card was dropped on the floor and instantly changed to the spectator’s selection.
The last section of the book contained an entertaining interview with Andi Gladwin about Tyler’s thoughts and presentation. I would strongly recommend this book to serious card person and I assure you that you will never regret it.
Rating: 5 of 5 Stars!

Personal Note:
I agree with Uncle Bob that magicians who are serious about taking their card magic up another notch, would really enjoy this comprehensive book and DVD set. It is very nicely produced, with pictures clear and the hardcover book is of good quality - no flimsy cheap materials! It's great that pdf files are also included in the disc to print the gaffs accordingly, so there's no difficulty trying to come up with them yourselves. The close up effects are remarkably strong too ^_^ Worth a check out if you think of yourself as a cardcian.
