The Trilogy was released yesterday, and while everywhere is selling for 85USD (excluding shipping), the ones at Penguin Magic are going for only 64USD and its 75USD when includes shipping cost to Singapore.

So I'm asking the Penguin fans here, is it ok to purchase from them? Their lower prices are a little fishy to me especially when even the Buck twins are selling at 85USD. :unsure: :unsure:

Penguin Magic has a reputation for slashing prices down. If you can get it at this cheap price, you might want to get it soon because there's wind that the Buck brothers will try to get Penguin Magic to revert to the normal selling price although I have no idea whether they'll be successful.

I'm not surprised over this. Penguin Magic has been doing this for a long time now. I'm not sure how they profit but they sure have the lowest prices around usually.

The only thing I'm afraid is the amount of time it will takes to arrive at my doorstep.

Oh... well, then maybe you can get from other sources that offer fast shipping then. You certainly pay more but you wait less.

I usually get penguin items to Australia in about 1.5 to 2 weeks. Singapore should take roughly the same amount of time. The prices are one of the cheapest, but the service is really one of the worst I know of any magic shop.

Yeah I see people on the Penguin forums b*tching about the service too, so I'm not surprised. But from my own experience when i was in US a year ago, it took them about a week.

Well you know, there's the saying that goes something like:

If you want it cheap and fast,
It won't be good.

If you want it fast and good,
It won't be cheap.

If you want it cheap and good,
It won't be fast.

I like to buy from Penguin Magic because of their prices and that's probably it. Well, we can't really have our cake and eat it too ya?

I think Penguin Magic's logistics is probably nightmarish. They're carrying so many items and I bet most of them are not in stock so there's always going to be alot of delays.
