Here's a link to a google video of one of Derren Brown's previous live shows during his tour in UK. It's totally fantastic and entertaining.
I advise downloading the google video player and then letting it download into your computer rather than streaming.

eh...
Something minor, but the title of the clip in the website is "Something Wicked This Way Comes."
Although its sounds wierd to me... LOL
Anyway, i think Derren Brown is the ultimate performer. The way he does his shows, its totally captivating. And there's no extravagent props, cards, lights or whatever...

The title is probably trying to sound like olde English.
And... I actually sat through the whole thing. Pretty good!

Excellent stuff, very entertaining, effects are nicely routined up and even magician are giving positive comments about it. I hope he come up with more books about his presentation skill and effects.

I impressed on how he did the whole routine. Its giving laughter to everyone when he mention something small, but recieve something big. Example when he mention to the first volunt to notice the not so obvious question mark, and the light suddenly darken. I think its this small small thing that make the whole event so enjoying.
Even though much of his acts are not very magical, but it deliver something out of magic, and in the end, either people think he is a real magician, or he is a very good performancer.
His suggestive forcing or submitive wordings really give my hat off to him. It seems like each word is construct specially for the whole routine and I have to salute to him for able to do that so easily.
And the pace he set for his routine, from a slow pacing to a quick pacing. Its part of this, that able him to make the whole routine works. And he was so damn confident, I wonder if he really make a back up, esp if the volunt pick a elephant, not a mouse. What will happen? It really really is a very powerful force.

I would think of him as a mentalist rather than a magician because he did not do any magical acts at all.
What I enjoyed very much was how very well scripted the entire show was. It seems like every single thing was prepared, even up to the ad-libs. An amazing amount of work and thinking went into it and props must be given to him and Andy Nyman who wrote the script. Simply amazing.
I thought he did a very good presentation of the nail going into the nose, it was presented in such a simple and straightfoward manner and was beautiful, like a theatre act.
Of course, the best part for me was the ending, Derren really milked the prediction to the max. Absolutely amazing ending.
I heard that there were 2 other effects on the show but they weren't shown on television. Probably why the 2nd half seemed considerably longer than the 1st.

wow! the climax was amazing. Not to spoil it for those who didn't watch but i was watching and re-watching the 'parts' over and over again.
Unfortunately i feel as viewers at home, we were not able to experience the full impact of his show. Somehow i feel that the way in which his act is structured, his show has already started the moment you arrive at the venue (loitering around the foyer/ reception area, animal selection influence etc etc ). At least this was what i thought.
Brilliant guy!

Interestingly, I was thinking of an elephant. What were you guys thinking of?
Anyway, fantastic show, like all of his other stuff. Thanks for sharing.

Ooops.. Guess I'm not a literature person. haha..
Yup, I was thinking of an elephant too.
Anyway i agree with sean. To be able to just influence people's thoughts within the time period inside the theater sound abit too almighty. But its still more believable and real than his TV series "Trick of the Mind" (correct me if im wrong). After David Blaine and Criss Angel's TV shows, I'm now quite wary of the authenticity of the performances. *read: videoediting*
