I'm thinking of picking this up, but I'm confused between Cups and Balls and Chop Cup. What are their differences?

Cups & Balls use either 2 or 3 cups in the routine while Chop Cup use only 1.
2 cups with a chop cup is called a Combo cups.
Dai Vernon used a set of 3 cups and balls. Routine can be found in Michael Ammar's dvd on cups and balls.
Larry Jennings and Paul Daniel have a awesome routine using the chop cup.
John Mendoza also has a beautiful routine on the Combo Cups.
Hope this help.

Thanks Uncle Bob.
I'm thinking of getting a chop cup. Pack small and easy to carry.
Another question,
Any recommendation for chop cup for a beginner. Any good routine to recommend as well?
Thanks ^_^

bigbadwolf, I would suggest you get a copper chop cup by Morrissey. It worth its value or if you have the budget, get Johnson's brass chop cup.
Viking do make wooden chop cup that cost around USD90.00.
Invest in a good quality chop cup and it will last you for years to come.
As for the routines, you can either search for it at you-tube or get dvds on this subject.
Incidentally, you can also perform chop cup routine with disposable paper cup without the chop. Use tissue as the balls.
To name a few, John Mendoza, Larry Jennings, Paul Daniel, Dan Tong have one of the most awesome chop cups routine.

Hi Uncle Bob,
So, the Brass would be the good one for C&B and Chop Cup, and then Copper, and then Alumunium right ?
What are the specific pro and con between these materials ?
Thank you very much ^_^

I would say a good set of cups must be of heavy duty and it can be spun from copper or brass. Even normal copper or brass cups work well. It is a matter of preference. Just like you want to own continental or japanese car.
For Aluminium cups, they are just as good, but if they are light weight and your final load is a chick, you will have a self moving cup. This additional moment can be very embarrassing in your act.
