Any good books to recommend? Talking about library, I think I still owe them fines. :(

Welcome here, nckai! Hmmm, try looking under the code 793.4 to 793.8, that's where the magic books are found.... But the National library board has quite a limited collection, so i think it's better to buy them at Kinokuniya or Borders or those big big bookstores. Hope these will help!
Here's Ling xuan. B)

Hi!!! Welcome to SMC... ^_^
How did you get interestd in magic? Tell us more about yourself. Like your age, name and what magic are you into?
How did you find out about SMC?
Hm... for a start, I will recommand Magic for Dummies. I've browse through the book before and its indeed a good book for newbies.
Do check out our local libraries or bookshop.

Welcome to the forum dude, join our outing. You will not learn alot of things for beginner, but you will be amazed by what our Experienced Magicians and Flourishers can do.
For every beginner i would recommend RTCM (Royal Road To Card Magic), i got it once but didn't bothered to read it till Morph showed me something which fooled me and he said it was in the book. LOL ~
So get the book man ~

Thanks for the warm welcome. :)
My name is Chuan Kai, you guys can call me Kai. :) I'm 20 this year, currently serving the nation. Probably for another 1 year plus or another 10 years. I believe it's gonna be an eye opener for me if I join the outing. But I won't be around in S'pore for a month (hopefully) due to training. Sianz.
Seems like 'Royal Road to Card Magic' is a 'must buy' book huh? :D
Btw, a few questions. What's flourisher and IT?
nckai - December 26, 2004 08:24 AM (GMT)
Oops sorry, anyone stays at Bedok?
Aloy - December 26, 2004 08:42 AM (GMT)
IT is Information Technology B)
Anyone who tries to tell you otherwise is risking exposure warning :D
Welcome to the forum nckai. Hope to see you at the next outing, you will see alot of young creative people doing impossible things during the Magic Competition. Do join us for it!
Flourisher is someone who does "tricks" with cards and other objects as a display of their dexirity but it's not magic trick. It's difficult to explain with words really, come along and see some of the people do their stuff during the outing and you will understand.
Cheers

Hey man.... what's with all the dots.... they're not free you know.... try and maintain a continious line of thought... boii....
Anyhow, welcome here, kai. As for bedokian magicians, you can count me in, I'll be glad to help when I'm free. :D
And as for learning magic... well, staying at home and practicing and learning is only half the deal. Go out, show some chicks your skillz, get laid, and go back and repeat the process. Many many fun times await you ;)
