There's a video calle "25 tricks with sponge balls". This is an old video that has the basics of sponge ball handling and routines.

For books, you can try Jon Jensen's Professional Sponge Ball Tricks
Volume One and volume two. Covers sleights and routines. Quite good books actualy.

Kryptikalism does some sponge work, you could exchange tips with him at the next outing when you meet him. He got my friend pretty entertained with his routine :)

Do check out Patrick Page DVD on Sponge Ball. Currently sold at MagicWarehouse...pretty cheap compared to most DVDs on the market now

Try to get hold of the Encyclopedia of sponge balls magic by Frank Garcia if you can. However, it may be quite hard to find it since it's no longer in print and many magicians are also trying to get hold of it. You can try eBay, though the last I saw it was last year and it went for close to 200 USD.
