Hey guys,
i came across some clips of this magician, Michael Vincent and thought i would share it with you.
Personally i enjoyed watching him perform. There is SOMETHING really graceful and natural in his presentation that makes it a joy to watch this guy perform. I think it's the TONE of his voice and it gives a very reassuring and approachable type of patter! It's like....you can trust whatever he is saying! Very soothing! My 2 cents opinion of this magician.

The cups and balls routine is kinda interesting. Obvious Vernon and Wonder influences but has something "extra". It must be quite chim, the routining, to keep track of "what" goes "where".
Absolutely Awsome!! His misdirection is slick and has a well structure routines. I like his signed card routine too! What I believe is interaction to audience is very important when doing magic. :D
Maybe it's just me but i feel his patter is a bit long winded and can be quite flat. I got quite annoyed after watching his cups and balls halfway. It is possible the LONGEST cups and balls routine i have ever seen.
Taking the best of the best may not necessarily make his routine the best.
In fact some of the jokes he cracked did not sink in very well with the audience.
But all these are only about his cups and balls routine. I watched many of his other videos and his 3fly is very entertaining and quite engaging.
The thing about Michael Vincent is that he makes an extra extra extra effort to make every thing he performs his own. He puts in alot of thought into his routining and that's not a simple feat.

P.S. His sleight of hand with cards is amazing..
The cups and balls is interesting. Interesting for magicians, mostly, because well, it's....dare i say it?...complicated. :P
The cups are "combo" and so are the balls. Just keeping track of these is quite siong.
And the final loads are coming from ALL OVER THE PLACE.
I suspect this is probably a "demo" before a lecture so he's really showing all the moves. Yah, it's probably too long a routine for normal audiences and I doubt he performs this routine this way for lay audiences.
But his thoughts about what goes where and how certain segments works is interesting. :)
Aloy, now that you pointed out i think you might be right? the reaction he got from the crowd didn't seem like they were lay audience.
