Title: Uv Nightshades

Hi all,
Just received this, and as promised, here's my review.
First of all, I must say the customer service is top notch. It arrived in just five days ^_^
As for the package received, you will receive a dvd detailing everything you need to construct the gimmick.....power drill with 65 volts, with hexagonal drill bit, a bench saw, a F-clamp, good quality wood lacquer those of premium grade & a plastic heat resin molder.......no no no no....you do not need all of these. B)
Everything came in a package. You can construct the gimmick in half an hour or less. The dvd will detailed every step of the construction and how to perform this effect.
Some history....previously, I bought the art of astonishment dvd just because I wanted to learn the nightshades. It was clever. And the gimmick is very simple to construct.
As for this new UV nightshades, it is a vast improvement to the 'old method'. It really made life better for all those wanting to perform the nightshades. You can hand the bill immediately back, however, you are not 'clean' at this moment. Despite saying that, all the 'heat' is on the bill and you will find lots of ways to become 'clean', and this is detailed in the dvd. No worries at all.
For USD30 bucks, I strongly feel this is worth your investment. Effects such as peeler & spinner are also taught on the dvd. Especially peeler, cool card effect ^_^
So for those who have the old version of nightshades, you can seriously consider adding this 'weapon' to your arsenal. For those who are looking for some tricks using the bill, you should grab this B)

Does it suit local currency? Our "head" is so much bigger then the US's head.

hahaha, yup, I agree our 'head' is much bigger. But i feel that the spectator does not know 'what is coming', so maybe do not show it for too long. Once they register the picture is wearing the sunglass in their mind, then immediately 'flip' the nightshades, and let them grab the bill. :D

So which version is cleaner? the impromtu one in Art of Astonishment or this new one?
And err, for local bills, if you draw the glasses on it, does it mean the bill cannot be used anymore?

Hmm....i use a pencil to draw, and erase it ^_^ You can use the marker provided, but it's a permanent marker :(
With regards to the 'bigger head', there is a card effect called 'Peeler' taught in the dvd. It utilise the same gimmick and construction. If you do not want to perform the nightshades because of the 'bigger head', peeler is also another good alternative.
With regards to ending clean, i have to say that in both versions, you will not end clean. However, UV nightshades should be viewed as an improvement and/or an alternative to the old version. There is no problem of you wish to stick to the old version. It's perfectly fine.
Here's a clip of cyril performing the nightshades. This is the 'ULTIMATE VERSION' ^_^

Hi all,
by the way, I am trying to search for 'appearing sunglass', does anyone knows places selling sunglasses which can be compressed into a small shape, e.g. can be folded into half?

Oh, Its quite common in most eye wear shops, you can try there. They may not have ready made sun glasses, but they have this kind of frames that can fold into very small. :)

After 'playing' this thing for one week, I have to say this is really one of my best purchases so far. In addition to the gimmick provided, you can get an additional gimmick to make the handling easier. This additional gimmick is an optional item, and you can get it from your favourite magic dealer. If you have purchased this item, you can PM to me for more details and discussion. ^_^
