This is a beautiful bungalow fully air-conditioned and luxurious unlike the one we had last year! Those of you who were at the last chalet would know what I am talking about... hahaha. This is a palace compared to that!

There were a few constraints which made it difficult in the date selections. We had to settle for 19 - 21 November because it's the peak period and the weekends were all snapped up. We actually tried to apply early, but the ballotting system failed us. We hope that you'll try your best to join us anyway! We're sounding everyone out early, so do make the schedule changes/ take your leave early!

HOWEVER - check out just some of the highlights of this CHALET! You'll agree it's going to be an event you do NOT want to miss!

Auction NIGHT Bring your used magic items from home and auction them them off to your magic friends who might have use for them!

Lecture We have thus far confirmed that Uncle Bob Chua will be giving an extensive lecture and workshop on the following:
1) Cups and Balls
2) 3 Shell
3) 3 card monte
4) the Second Deal

There will be more! We are planning some really fun activities, so stay tuned!

I'm interested in joining the chalet this year. Will we need to pay anything? It'll be good if there is an itinerary to go along too.. Cos i can only drop by on 19th and 20th night only.

Cool stuff.. Can't wait to see material from Royal road performed!

Glad you're interested; I know the timing's a little tough, but it's the best we could do - and believe me, we tried getting the chalet really early. We didn't want a stupid ONE ROOM "Chalet" like last year - this one gives us plenty of freedom and LOTS OF ROOM.

We're still working on the programme. Aloy has lots of ideas but he's really tied up with work at the moment. However, the lectures and workshops by Uncle Bob (and another magician we're trying to 'con' into doing it) will be held at night to cater to the working group who might be interested.

The lay audience night will probably be on the first night, where you can bring your friends along for the ride and any newbies / lurkers who want to join SMC can come down and officially register with us.

We're also looking at other goodies we'll try to bring into the chalet programme. But MOST OF ALL - SESSION SESSION SESSION all day and through the wee hours of the night! MAGIC OVERDOSE!

Haha, why don't you start your job a bit later? After all, take a good break after ORD before working again. I still have until Jan to ORD. =(

Thankfully, I still have leave so I can clear them to join the chalet. =)

Hey guess wat i actually got a job! haha and they are actually accomodating with me even though i told them i had an SMC chalet thingy and there's no way i am missing it. Am really tempted to bring a PS2 there but think better not :P . hehe it shud be all magic ;) shud'nt it?
