The myth.
Factory Sealed
"An totally impromptu CTB using a borrowed brand new factory sealed bottle and a big signed coin"
Here's the truth.
Not totally impromptu
Cannot be done with a big signed coin
Cannot be borrowed. (only appeared to be borrowed)
Cannot be done on the spot if people just hand you the bottle.
The penetration is not a visual as I thought. You have to cover the whole coin when you penetrate it. The point of penetration is fully covered by the hand.
It penetrates through the bottom.
The 360 version look just like Impervious. They even said although they are similar, but Nick thought of the idea first.
And Factory Sealed is NOT factory sealed. You cannot let the audience open the bottle and break the seal. How ironic.

Heh... Good point you have there.
But I'm expressing interest in Bullet.. Any comments from you?

Btw, Ellusionist said Factory Sealed is "The Best Selling Miracle Of 2007".
How can it be the best selling miracle when it was just released today?!
I guess the rumor is true, they really have psychics in Ellusionist. -_-
I have yet to read any reviews for Bullet yet.
The penetration is visual (way more visual than Factory Sealed).
However, it is only as visual as most of the other CTBs out there.
From the demo video you can see they hold the bottom of the bottle. The fingers are covering the bottom of the bottle. Yes, there is nothing wrong with holding a bottle like that. But it will be a problem if the BOTTOM is the point where the coin penetrates.
In my opinion it would look more visual if they can hold the top of the bottle, as it is further away from the point of penetration.
I've seen this CTB called fissure on youtube. In my opinion, it looks like Bullet, but much better. The magican holds the cap of the bottle and pentrates the coin through the bottom. He shows his hand clean when the coin went through. Very sweet.
The creator of Bullet said that it could be done with a big signed coin.
When I asked him if the it is possible to do the big signed coin impromptu and let the audience bring back the bottle, he did not answer my question.
I guess you need some pre show work to get the big signed coin into the bottle. But I'll wait for a review to confirm that.

OK, it's confirmed in one of the reviews.
Bullet CANNOT be done impromptu with a big signed coin.
Hence I don't really see what is new and revolutionary about Bullet.

do not waste ur money time and effort,
factory sealed is just a modification of aquatic by sean fields and impervious
and some Usual E ingredient(hype),

Yup, there is nothing new and revolutionary about Factory Sealed & Bullet at all.
In fact they are actually much weaker than alot of CTBs out there.
After all the bad reviews start coming it, they tried to emphasis the point that Factory Sealed & Bullet are the "original" CTBs.

OK, so there may be similarities to other CIB's out there, but these effects are the ones that orchestrated the modern coin into bottle obsession.
The analogy of the "street magic" model/themed online magic retailer comes to mind. There maybe many out there at present and all of them are very similar...but Ellusionist was the originator that started it all. |
Are they saying Ellusionist originated CTB effects?
Oh ya, Ellusionist originate "street magic" right? :P
The other CTBs are not similar to the E's CTB.
They are superior to the E's CTBs.

hey.
Here is something REALLY funny. (this is as of 02 Nov 07, 10:21 SGT)
Here's the last line of Factory sealed.
"You will never need to look at another Coin In Bottle effect again. You'll be making your reputation in the twilight zone."
Here is what the slogan says :

*lols*

Anybody heard of Lucid Dreams by Project Maverick?
Any comments on it?
Ace - November 5, 2007 11:19 AM (GMT)
I don't own Lucid Dream, but I watched the demo video of it.
I like the penetration of Lucid Dream 2, where you can hold the bottle horizontally, and penetrate the coin through the side of the bottle. Check out the demo video on his website.

I have deleted the posts made after 2 Dec because I find them improper. Singemagic888 is just a troll trying to lure argumentative posts. This thread is now locked.
