yo. Hi to everybody. Well i am thinking of a routine of my own and i am kinda stuck. I cannot really figure out anything. I got the knowledge of coin sleights and handelings. I am looking for ideas. Well i would want the to vanish, penetrate, coins across all put together.( If possible, more) So, i need a little help or is there any books or dvds that can help me?
Thanks. appreciate it.

Just for laughs, put a coin into your left hand and make the spectator hold your closed fist, then you make it vanish, and tell the spectator that it has penetrated both your palm and theirs and it went across to your right hand. There you have it, a routine that has vanish, penetrate and coin across all put together.
Ok in a more serious light, I would like to believe that the sources which you learnt your coin sleights and handling from WOULD include or contain effects/routines that make use of these sleights. Look at these effects/routines and study how they are constructed or how they flow. There's nothing wrong with wanting to construct your own routine, but I think this should only come after you have a good grasp of the fundamentals and good knowledge of the staple effects/routines for the different plots.
Then you can start thinking of what effect you want to achieve, the start state, the end state and how to get from the start state to the end state. If you don't even have an idea of what your routine is going to be like, how will others be able to help?
Also, putting truckloads of magic into 1 routine might not give you the mileage you are looking for. Many a times, less is more.

P.S. Please don't take me too seriously. After all, I know nuts about coin work. Honestly, I can't do a coin vanish even if my life depended on it (other than the vending machine fingertip coin vanish).

The DVD "In The Beginning There Were Coins" is a good DVD for some ideas. There are some good routines taught inside there too. Just check it out if you haven't=)

I'm no coin guy, but I am sure the answer to your question are only 4 words:
BOBO MODERN COIN MAGIC
- harapan. magic!
P.S. It's a book. Yeah. You actually have to read it instead of hitting that DVD "play" button.

Erm, I don't think Faris is looking for advise on what books or dvds to look at. Faris, if that is your intention, i suggest you go look around the forum for thread of some of these advise.
However, if you want people to throw you ideas for a routine you are going to call your own, i think that's not very cool? If you don't know where to start, people who wants to give u advise wouldn know where to start either.
Moreover, a open forum is not really a good place to talk about such things.
One thing that many people are doing is to look through a vast number of material, find things you like and put them all together, add your personal patter, and you can call it your own.

P.S. i am not a coin guy and i have not seen many coin DVDs, but been around the forum long enough to know what most people think about most things.
Coin stuff:
In the beginning there were coins
Ammar intro to coins
David Roth's series
david stone's coins dvd
bobo modern coin.
blah blah blah...

Ok, maybe you had the same problem as me. I'm practising a lot of gambling sleights lately, but I have little idea on how to apply them and make it into a routine. I'm just thinking, "learn first, apply later."
Anyway, I think one good way is to learn an existing routines and then with enough info, come up with one on your own.

I think it is nice to do a coin production then go into a routine.
Or do a routine and go into a coin vanish.
Or you could take out some coins, do a routine and put them into your pocket after that.
More common routines with coins are :
1. coins across
2. coins through table
3. Copper silver
4. Production and vanish
5. Matrix
but all these are usually single routines. I would not want to see some guy do a coins across, then say he can do it even with a table in between(coins thru table), and then say actually let's use copper coins(change to copper coins), and then say let's not use coins (vanish).
