Many, if not all of us are familiar with this term "magician's magician". We know that The Professor is a magician's magician. Daryl has also been termed a magician's magician, along with many others.
My question is, what is a magician's magician. Does it mean that you can perform flawlessly for magicians but not so well for lay audience? OR does it mean that your tricks are designed to fool magician more then to fool lay audience? Or is it because you are so bloody good that u can fool both magicians and lay audiences alike?
I know it's a trivial question, but i was just curious la.

Its not a real terminology in my opinion, more like a fun name for those really good magician who fools other magician, i guess. But bear in mind that they usually perform differently for magicians and layman.
Erm, to my knowledge, Dai Vernon was not called the Magician's magician. This term was applied to Daryl Martinez. You can see it on the backdrop of the palour set where he was performing on his DVD series "Fooler Doolers".
So I'll shift my thoughts to about Daryl being the Magician's Magician.
When I first watched Daryl performed in his DVD series, I couldn't help but say, "This IS entertainment!" Even though I know the works as to how the tricks are done, I could not help but to watch him perform again and again! His entertainment level stretches beyond laymen level. Even magicians (me, in this case), enjoy his performance almost 2nd to none.
It's nothing about fooling people. It's about bringing entertainment to a whole new level.
I know it's not for me to say but i think a magician's magician or a magician fooler, his tricks are hard to follow by laymen. It's those tricks where we thought we figured out but acutally is more powerful.
