I was reading this book, secrets of performing confidence by Andrew Evans. I ran into this :

"Magicians need years of practice, since their work is almost entirely sleight of hand, many begin as children. According to Jerry, most of them stay emotionally that way, since they substitute trickery for a more mature adjustment to adult life"

So misunderstood. What do you think?
