Hey folks :)

I had a few people asking me about my solo stage magic act, especially those who missed Magic Babe in action at Triple Actz. Well, my style's very different, not quite your usual "get something from a box and chuck it back in later" sorta thing & I dare say, my performance repertoire is vastly different from the cliche things you'd expect a female magician to do. Not that there's anything wrong with bunny rabbits out of top hats, magic silks or rings but I prefer something more contemporary... more urban-sophisticated... more me ;)

Of course I do :) Haven't been able to meet up with y'all in Malaysia cos of my busy schedule but I hope everyone's doing well! *grin* Well, answering your question...

Yes, it's all original. Check it out, I'm confident no-one does it the Magic Babe way! ;) So yes, I'm proud to say that "Straightjacket Striptease" is completely my own idea... okay, well, J C (magic producer extraordinaire!) came up with the name of the act & also helped me refine some of the bits but it was a really fun process putting it together.

A lot of people do it with comedy, if not the typical tough guy method so this unique way of presentation is really new and refreshingly because it's different from the typical way of performing the straightjacket escape :lol: I was just being true to myself... or rather, my on-stage character, Magic Babe.

In case you're wondering what got me inspired... the right music & a copy of STRONG MAGIC by Darwin Ortiz!!!

Many friends I've made here in SMC have certainly been a wonderful inspiration. So here's a big THANK YOU to everyone who's been so supportive and helpful! I've learnt so much from you :lol:

Okie, I think I give a SOLID comment about the video. Taking out the fact that I look like a Nerd in the video myself. LOL!!

The video itself got the selling point. But I personally find at some parts, its too flashy. Esp during some title flashing, like "Live Performance Highlight" And the last part "Magic Babe Ning". I feel it will be good, not to have flashing images jumping around. Mainly because when there is something jumping around, people will lose focus on the words.

The solution can be, remove the flashing of images, or make the flashing slower, like a lag period between 2 images, making the viewers focus more on the words then.

Second thing, for the Strip tease Jacket, other than the guy looking like a nerd. The thing i wanted to say is, Most events likes audience involvements, Ya the video says for itself, but its not concrete enough. I feel that if you mention in the title like "Strip Tease Jacket (Audience Involvement)" Or let say "Audience Involvement?" "Watch this". What i feel is that, Its not neccessary to involve the title of the effect into a video, because too many titles, hard to remember.

I like the multiple angle shots, it says alot of thing. Its like giving multiple views from the audience side.

The starting and the ending is very good, attract attentions and Wow Factor is inside. :)

I will say something about the magic.

Other than the nerd in the video, the various stunts used is very unique and not seen before in the market.

Example, the Linking cloth hangers, the Striptease jacket.

One thing about linking cloth hangers is, I feel the presentation of the use of hanger to link into each other. Which bring back to the use of the Linking rings. The classic are good, but something i wonder, back then, the linking ring, what it does? Link the ring. Only? The Classic Magic says that the ring will link into each other, but why is there a need then?

I guess alot of times, people don't wonder why, but alot of things, if someone agree with you on certain things, they remember you better. Right? So let say, the Linking hangers, it was mentioned that the hangers can be a chore, esp when you carry them around and a slip of hand, it drops onto the floor into pieces, and blah blah, then the linking hangers will serve it purpose. People go out knowing, I won't drop my hangers if my hangers can link and unlink at will. Hope you understand what i want to bring forward.

Next the Strip tease Jacket, I love this one, Esp when i was on stage, And i got my first hug with Ning. :P Anyway, what I heard is, I took too long on the stage, but I guess, have to expect that, I not a stooge by the way, Its that I really have problem handling the belts. LOL!! So I guess time is a issue in this effect.

Next one is the MONEY MONEY!! Who Don't love money!!! I like the presentation for the Credit Cards, Money. In the video, you guys can't see. Its a pity you guys didn't go for the show. Anyway, I remember the only thing i feel weird, is the background and your outfits on the stands?

The background is black, you wear black also, the credit card wallet also black. So in short, Its not obvious enough for audience in the back, esp my side. I cannot see what you take out sometimes, but can figure it out myself though.

And its that, you look better without the jacket than with the jacket, because of the black background.

Alright, I wrote alot again. Hope you take these comments lightly. :)
