Title: Misty

Hey guys,

It's my Dad's birthday and I made a video dedicated to him. Sent it to him so I hope he likes it! ^_^

Anyway, thought I'd share it with you guys here. He introduced me to Johnny Mathis' music, figured it'd only be right if I used that music in the video.

Let me know what you guys think!

Take care,

Very Sleek moves.

Clean and slow enough for the impact to sink.

I wish i can do that. Practise more to me..

A memorable effect for me since I used to do this effect.

Very nice, well done, aesthetic. I see some, though simple (but that's the beauty) well-thought out and great modifications made. It was enjoyable, thanks!

Larry,

Haha, thank you brother. I still got alot of work to do on my cards before I can maintain such fluidity.

Gordon,

Thank you so much for your kind comments. I am very humbled that you enjoyed the video. :)

Good stuff B) Smooth and obviously very carefully thought thru.

Very interesting idea combining Elm count with the turnover. But is it a little bit of over-proofing thou? I can see your point that because elm count was used in earlier phrases, you want to "throw them off" a little with the turnover as "clean up". But could you have just used the turnover right there?
Would like to know how you sees it.

So when are you gonna drop by SG and hang out with us for a little magicking? B)

Great job Logan, everything was smooth. I especially liked how you paced the effect the music. Gave me an inspiration as well. Good job bro... Hope to see more of your stuff... ^_^

Cheers

Aloy,

As usual, thank you for your most gracious of comments.

Regarding your point, yes now that I take another gander at it, it does indeed look like over-proofing and I do not blame you for thinking so, however, my thoughts were, at the time of inception, to take the spectators step by step during the last card's disappearance. So they see the back of it and I run through the Elmsley count once, then I run through it again...and it's not there. I figure it would build suspense before the final spreading of the cards to show it really is not there.

It's a form of teasing I suppose, if that makes any sense

As of now, I'm supposed to come down on the 26th of Dec, but then again, I may fly off to another country after that, things still aren't confirmed as of yet, but I will let you know if I remember, do remind me! :P

Would love to see your stuff live!

Jerome,

You made my day when you said I inspired you. I suppose the aim of art, any art really, is to inspire and to know that I've done that to you with my video makes all the shooting and re-shooting of this video worth while. Thank you so much.

My good friend (the camera man) almost lost his mind, during this shoot because things kept going wrong! Well...I'm a perfectionist so a lot of things were wrong to me and he was like, "What? It's ok what!". If I'm not wrong, we had about 7 takes of this video before we got the final good version.

Take care guys and thank you!

Logan
