Finally received this wonderful book from the Gambler's Book Club. I just couldn't wait to tell you guys how good this is.
For those gambling enthusiasts, this book is a must if you decide to specialize in switching cards in play. This is the only book, I believe, that teaches some of the strongest hand mucking techniques around.
Firstly, the book goes into a section of methods for holding out cards. All descriptions are described in explicit detail and there are photographs to accompany them. It also teaches how you switch from one way of holding out to another.
Second, the mucks themselves. If you have watched "Shade" the movie, all the mucks you see in the intro/ending are taught in the book itself. Other than the MacMillan one handed turnover switch, of course. Each muck is also explained in great detail and photographs to come along.
One word of caution though, if you are expecting effects or even applications to the moves taught in the book, there is none. The author says that the applications are "left to the reader"
In my opinion, this is the only book I have ever encountered that teaches one of the most rarely described form of sleight of hand. If you ever wanted to learn such things, look no further. I give this book my highest recommendations to any hand mucking enthusiast.
